Ianis Hagi
Ianis Hagi (; born 22 October 1998) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a forward for Scottish Premiership club Rangers and the Romania national team. He made his professional debut for Viitorul Constanța at the age of 16, after having trained at his father Gheorghe's academy. In 2016, Hagi moved abroad for the first time for a brief stint with Fiorentina in Italy, where he only played in two competitive matches. He returned to Viitorul one and a half years later, winning the Cupa României before leaving again in 2019 for Belgian club Genk. In January 2020, he joined Rangers on a loan deal, which was made permanent later that year. He helped Rangers win the Scottish Premiership in the 2020–21 season. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy ( ro, Academia de fotbal Gheorghe Hagi) is a football youth academy based in Ovidiu, Constanța County, which serves as the primary youth clinic of Romanian club Farul Constanța. Until 2021, it was the primary youth clinic of Viitorul Constanța. The 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship (also known as UEFA Under-21 Euro 2019) was the 22nd edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship (25th edition if the Under-23 era is also included), the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. The Lithuania national football team ( lt, Lietuvos nacionalinė futbolo rinktinė) represents Lithuania in international football and is controlled by the Lithuanian Football Federation, the governing body for football in Lithuania.
