Ian Anthony Moran (born 16 August 1979) is an Australian cricketer who has played List A cricket for Scotland national cricket team, Scotland and Twenty20 cricket for New South Wales cricket team, New South Wales, the Sydney Sixers and the Sydney Thunder. List A career Moran made his List A cricket, List A debut playing for Scotland national cricket team, Scotland against Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Warwickshire in the 2006 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy. In that match he took his first List A Wicket#Dismissing a batsman, wicket, opener Neil Carter (cricketer), Neil Carter for 135, breaking a 181-run partnership. Cricket Scotland, formerly known as the Scottish Cricket Union, is the Sport governing body, governing body of the sport of cricket in Scotland. 2007 Friends Provident Trophy
The 2007 Friends Provident Trophy was an English county cricket tournament, held between 22 April and 19 August 2007. The tournament was won by Durham. Changes from previous tournament Following the 2006 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy, which had been won by Sussex, various changes were made to the tournament. The first of these to be announced was the inclusion of a semi-final stage in 2007, following complaints of there being "too many meaningless matches". Another change was that of the competition sponsor; Cheltenham & Gloucester, who were reportedly unhappy at the format for 2006, cancelled their future sponsorship before the 2006 season began. Run (cricket)
In cricket, a run is the unit of scoring. The team with the most runs wins in many versions of the game, and always draws at worst (see result), except for some results decided by the DLS method, which is used in rain-shortened limited-overs games when the two teams have had a different number of opportunities to score runs. One run (known as a "single") is scored when the two batters (the striker and the non-striker) start off positioned at opposite ends of the pitch (which has a length of 22 yards) and then they each arrive safely at the other end of the pitch (i.e. they cross each other without being run out).
