Ian Livingstone
Sir Ian Livingstone (born 29 December 1949) is an English fantasy author and entrepreneur. Along with Steve Jackson, he is the co-founder of a series of role-playing gamebooks, ''Fighting Fantasy'', and the author of many books within that series. He is also one of the co-founders of prominent games company Games Workshop. Early life Livingstone attended Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, where, according to him, he only earned one A-level, in Geography. He has kept his close links with the school and has visited it on numerous occasions, including to donate money for a refurbishment of the ICT suite, and to present awards to GCSE recipients in 1998. Career Games Workshop Livingstone co-founded Games Workshop in early 1975 with flatmates John Peake and Steve Jackson. Ian Paul Livingstone (born 4 July 1969, in London) is a British composer for television, films and video games. He jointly won an Ivor Novello Award in 2011 for a video game score for '' Napoleon: Total War''. He was classically trained from the age of five and has a background as a pop/dance music producer, band member and session musician. He is a graduate of Salford University. Ian Livingstone (1933-2001) was a noted British development economist. Early life Livingstone was born in France to Scottish parents. Ian Malcolm Livingstone (born 22 May 1962) is a British billionaire property developer, through the privately held London & Regional Properties, owned jointly with his brother Richard Livingstone (businessman), Richard Livingstone. Early life Livingstone was born in the UK, the son of a dentist in Ealing, London. He was educated at St Paul's School, London, St Paul's School, a leading private school. He attended City University London, where he received a bachelor's degree in Optometry and qualified as an optometrist in 1984. Career Livingstone served as the chairman and majority shareholder of the Optika Clulow Group, a retail chain which owned 170 optician stores, including David Clulow, Sunglass Hut, Harrods and Selfridges opticians, from 1990 to 2010. Ian Lang Livingstone (born 23 February 1938) is a Scottish businessman; former Chairman of the board of Motherwell College; former Chairman of Motherwell Football Club; former Chairman of Lanarkshire Health Board; and former Chairman of the Lanarkshire Development Agency. Early life and career Ian Lang Livingstone was born in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire on 23 February 1938 to Margaret Steele (''née'' Barbour) and John Lang Livingstone.
