Ian Henderson (musician)
The Puddle are a New Zealand rock band originally formed in Dunedin in 1983 by George D. Henderson. They had a mini-album, a live album, a studio album and a single released on New Zealand independent record label Flying Nun Records between 1986 and 1993. The group has continued to exist since then, with several line-up changes and periods of inactivity. Since 2006 the group has released four albums on Dunedin independent record label Fishrider Records. Early history Prior to forming The Puddle George D. Henderson had been a key member of Wellington, New Zealand experimental avant-garde punk groups The Amps and The Spies. In 1980 he relocated to Christchurch and formed The And Band who self released one 7-inch single. Very early line-ups of The Puddle included Shayne P. Ian Henderson (born 15 August 1953) is a retired Australian television news presenter and journalist. Henderson was the weeknight presenter of '' ABC News Victoria'' in Melbourne and ''ABC News at Five''. Life and career Henderson graduated from Haileybury College, Melbourne, in 1970. Ian Stuart McWalter Henderson, also known as Ian Stewart McWalter Henderson, (1927 – 13 April 2013) was a British citizen known for his role in resolving the Mau Mau crisis in Kenya in the late 1950s and for managing the Bahraini General Directorate for State Security Investigations from 1966 to 1998. Henderson was dubbed the Butcher of Bahrain due to torture and the numerous human rights violations that were alleged to have taken place under his command there, especially during 1990s uprising in Bahrain. Henderson was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, in 1927 but grew up among the Kikuyu in Kenya and lived most of his life overseas. Ian Thomas Henderson (born 24 October 1940) is a former Australian politician. He was born in Brisbane to Walter Henderson and Lilian Florence May, ''née'' Kennedy. Captain Ian Henry David Henderson (2 October 1896 – 21 June 1918) was a British World War I flying ace credited with seven aerial victories. Biography He was the only son of Lieutenant-General Sir David Henderson, who served as Director-General of Military Aeronautics 1914–17, and as General Officer Commanding, Royal Flying Corps 1914–15, and his wife Dame Henrietta Caroline (née Dundas). Henderson graduated from the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, on 13 January 1915, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Princess Louise's (Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders) regiment. He was seconded to the Royal Flying Corps, and was appointed a flying officer on 21 August 1915.
