Ian Harvey (rugby Union)
Ian Hamilton Harvey (1 January 1903 – 22 October 1966) was a New Zealand rugby union player. A lock, Harvey represented Wairarapa at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, from 1924 to 1928. He played 18 matches for the All Blacks, including one international. Masterton ( mi, Whakaoriori), a large town in the Greater Wellington Region of New Zealand, operates as the seat of the Masterton District (a territorial authority or local-government district). In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types.
