Ian Christianson
Ian Christianson (born March 6, 1991) is an American professional soccer player. Career Early career Christianson played four years of college soccer at Georgetown University between 2009 and 2012. With Georgetown he made 78 appearances in which he scored 14 goals and recorded 10 assists. While at college, Christianson appeared for USL PDL clubs Chicago Fire Premier and Reading United AC. On June 29, 2012 he scored his first goal for Reading United in a 4-0 victory over Bermuda Hogges. Professional On January 17, 2013, Christianson was selected 22nd in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft by New York Red Bulls. He missed the entire 2013 season due to an injury suffered during the preseason. Christianson was loaned to USL Pro club Orlando City on July 25, 2014. He made his first start for Orlando City on August 2, 2014 in a 4-1 victory over Charlotte Eagles. The Charlotte Eagles are an American professional soccer team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Founded in 1991, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The team plays its home games at the Sportsplex at Matthews. 2014 USL Pro Season
The 2014 USL Pro season was the fourth USL Pro season and the 28th season of third-division soccer in the United States. Teams Antigua Barracuda FC and VSI Tampa Bay FC folded following the 2013 season and were replaced by Sacramento Republic FC and Oklahoma City Energy FC. On January 29, 2014, the Los Angeles Galaxy of MLS announced that they would be fielding a USL Pro team, the LA Galaxy II. The Los Angeles Blues were rebranded Orange County Blues FC on February 5, 2014. Arizona United SC replaced Phoenix FC on March 13, 2014. The 2014 New York Red Bulls season was the Red Bulls' nineteenth season in Major League Soccer, the top division for soccer in the United States. In 2014, the Red Bulls participated in the CONCACAF Champions League for the second time in team history (the first time being 2010). The team also entered the 2014 MLS season as the reigning Supporters Shield winners. 2012 PDL Season
The 2012 USL Premier Development League season was the 18th season of the PDL. The regular season began on 22 April with a match between the Los Angeles Misioneros and Fresno Fuego, and ended with 14 matches on 15 July 2012. The regular season was followed by a postseason tournament of conference winners which determined the league's champion, Forest City London. Thirteen teams were added to the league and 4 teams dropped, bringing the total number of teams in the league to 73 for 2012. 2011 PDL Season
The 2011 USL Premier Development League season was the 17th season of the PDL. The regular season began on April 29, 2011, when the Los Angeles Blues 23 played Fresno Fuego, and ended on July 24. The playoffs began on Tuesday, July 26 and concluded with the PDL Championship Game on August 6. As in previous years, the PDL Championship Game was broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel in the United States, with commentary by Steve Bell and Keith Tabatznik. The Kitsap Pumas ended the season as national champions, beating Laredo Heat 1-0 in the 2011 PDL Championship game. The playoffs were held at the home of the Pumas in Bremerton, Washington. Fresno Fuego had the best regular-season record, posting an unbeaten 13-0-3 record.
