Ian Henderson Black (27 March 1924 – 13 December 2012) was a Scottish professional association football, footballer who made over 260 appearances in the Football League for Fulham F.C., Fulham as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Ian Black (born January 12, 1962retired June 16, 2022 after a career as a meteorologist for CBOT, the CBC outlet in Ottawa. Black joined the local evening news broadcast along with anchor Peter Van Dusen in 1989 and holds the position today. He is a certified broadcaster with the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society, serving as the only CMOS-certified broadcaster in Ottawa and one of only a few to perform local forecasting duties. Past work In addition to providing extensive forecasting on '' CBC News: Ottawa at Six'', Black gave regular updates on the CBO-FM program ''All in a Day''. Ian Howard Black (31 August 1943 – 13 July 2020) was an Australian politician. Black was an Independent member of the Australian Capital Territory Advisory Council from 1970 to 1974. The Advisory Council was replaced with a Legislative Assembly in 1975, and Black was a member for Canberra from 1975 to 1979. Black was also an Independent candidate for the Australian Senate in the 1975 Federal Election for the Australian Capital Territory. He was an Independent candidate for the electorate of Molonglo in the 2001 Australian Capital Territory general election for the ACT Legislative Assembly, which replaced the House of Assembly, which, in turn, had replaced the earlier Legislative Assembly of which Black had been a member. Ian Christopher Black (born 1962) is a British Anglican priest who has served as Dean of Newport since 2021. Black was born and grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon and was head chorister at Holy Trinity Church (Shakespeare's church). Educated at Kineton High School and Binswood Hall (North Leamington School), he went on to study at Christ Church College, Canterbury, then affiliated to the University of Kent. After a career in tax, both with the Inland Revenue and a firm of chartered accountants, he trained for ordination at Lincoln Theological College, studying for a Master of Divinity degree at the University of Nottingham. Black was ordained deacon at Canterbury Cathedral in 1993 and priest in 1994. Black served his title at All Saints Church, Maidstone (1993–96). Ian Stuart Black (21 March 1915 – 13 October 1997 ) was a British novelist, playwright and screenwriter. Both his 1959 novel ''In the Wake of a Stranger'' and his 1962 novel about the Cyprus emergency, '' The High Bright Sun'', were made into films, Black writing the screenplays in each case. He was the father of actress Isobel Black. Early life Black attended Daniel Stewart's College in Edinburgh and Manchester University, where he studied philosophy. After writing a one-act play and submitting it to the Donald Wolfit Theatre Company, he was asked to join them as an actor. Field Music
Field Music are an English rock band from Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England, that formed in 2004. The band's core consists of brothers David Brewis and Peter Brewis.
