Iain Rogerson
Iain Rogerson (October 1960 – 13 October 2017) was a British actor best known for his portrayal of Harry Flagg in '' Coronation Street''. Alongside appearances in ''Emmerdale'', '' Doctors'', ''Casualty'', '' Heartbeat'', ''Peak Practice'', ''The Hello Girls'', '' As Time Goes By'', ''The Bill'', '' People Like Us'', ''Drop the Dead Donkey'' and ''Bloomin Marvellous'', plus numerous film appearances including '' Mike Bassett: England Manager'', ''To Kill A King'', '' Bedazzled'' and '' Up 'n' Under'', he did extensive theatre work including work with John Godber and Hull Truck Theatre. ''People Like Us'' is a British radio and TV comedy programme, a spoof on-location documentary (or mockumentary) written by John Morton, and starring Chris Langham as Roy Mallard, an inept interviewer. Originally a radio show for BBC Radio 4 in three series from 1995 to 1997, it was made into two television series for BBC Two broadcast between September 1999 and June 2001. The ''Coventry Telegraph'' is a local English tabloid newspaper. It was founded as ''The Midland Daily Telegraph'' in 1891 by William Isaac Iliffe, and was Coventry's first daily newspaper. Sold for half a penny, it was a four-page broadsheet newspaper. It changed its name to the ''Coventry Evening Telegraph'' on 17 November 1941. On 2 October 2006, the ''Telegraph'' simply became the ''Coventry Telegraph'', reflecting its switch to a morning publication. The newspaper became a part of the then Mirror Group (prior to its merger with Trinity to become Trinity Mirror), in 1997. In April 2022, the publication had a paid daily circulation of just over 6,183 copies. Trinity Mirror is now known as Reach plc. Wrexham Maelor Hospital
The Wrexham Maelor Hospital ( cy, Ysbyty Maelor Wrecsam) is a district general hospital for the north east region of Wales. It is managed by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. History The hospital has its origins in the Wrexham Union Workhouse which was completed in 1838. In the late 19th century a large new infirmary was built to the west of the workhouse building and a fever hospital was created to the west of the infirmary. A home for the elderly and infirm, intended to replace the workhouse, was opened on the site by David Lloyd George MP as "Plas Maelor" in 1934. (Maelor was a cantref of the Kingdom of Powys). The facility served as an emergency military hospital during the Second World War and then joined the National Health Service as Maelor General Hospital in 1948. John Godber
John Harry Godber (born 18 May 1956) is known mainly for observational comedies. The ''Plays and Players Yearbook'' of 1993 rated him the third most performed playwright in the UK after William Shakespeare and Alan Ayckbourn. He has been creative director of the Theatre Royal Wakefield since 2011. Biography Godber, born in Upton, West Riding of Yorkshire, trained as a teacher of drama at Bretton Hall College, which is affiliated to the University of Leeds, and became artistic director of Hull Truck Theatre Company in 1984. Before venturing into plays, he was head of drama at Minsthorpe High School, the school he had attended as a student, and then wrote for the TV series ''Brookside'' and ''Grange Hill''.
