I Spåren Av Tåren
''I Spåren Av Tåren'' ('In The Tracks Of My Tears') is the second solo album by Swedish musician Peter Morén of the band Peter Bjorn And John, and his first in Swedish. This decision was made by Morén to enable him to include more precise cultural references and more freedom in his choice of lyrics. It was released in March 2010, having been recorded Summer and Autumn 2009. The album spawned one single, 'Esther', which was released in January 2010, preceding the album by two months and accompanied by a video.http://www.undertheradarmag.com/news/peter_bjorn_and_johns_peter_moren_to_release_swedish_language_album/ article, 'Under The Radar' music website The Spotify version includes a 10-minute interview with Morén, who as well as singing plays many of the instruments on the album. While Morén's first album The Last Tycoon focused more on folk and folk-rock, I Spåren Av Tåren has a more classic rock and soul influenced style. The song 'Att Komma Ikapp' was later translated ...

He is also a founding member of the Stockholm-based artist collective INGRID. He was born and raised in Mora, and started his musical career playing the violin, but soon changed to the guitar. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Independent labels such as Flying Nun Records, Flying Nun began to promote the scene across New Zealand, inspiring key college rock bands in the United States such as Pavement (band), Pavement, Pixies (band), Pixies and R.E.M. Other notable scenes grew in Madchester, Manchester and Hamburger Schule, Hamburg, with many others thriving thereafter. In the 1980s, the use of the term "independent music, indie" (or " ...

The Last Tycoon (album)
''The Last Tycoon'' is the debut solo album by Swedish musician Peter Morén of the band Peter Bjorn And John. The album revolves mainly around the theme of adolescence (the track "This Is What I Came For" is especially autobiographical), though its title is taken from the unfinished ''The Last Tycoon'' by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Morén's initial plan was to make a purely acoustic record, but the final product contains elements such as string sections and synthesisers. It was released by V2 Records under license from Wichita Recordings. The album was recorded "...in our spare, stolen hours, here and there in apartments, rehearsal spaces and studios in Stockholm...". The album had two singles; Social Competence, released in March, followed by Reel Too Real in April.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Reel-Too-Real/dp/B001KTPERY/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1340911390&sr=8-12 Amazon UK release, 2008 The album was produced by songwriter Tobias Fröberg, and Daniel Värjö, member of The Concretes, whose ...

Pyramiden (album)
''Pyramiden'' is the third solo album by Swedish musician Peter Morén of the band Peter Bjorn And John, and his second in Swedish. So far, two singles have been released, both digital only. The album is named after the Russian ghost town of Pyramiden, which also partly inspired the album. While Morén's second album I Spåren Av Tåren focused more on soul and classic baroque-pop influences, Pyramiden has a more new wave and modern indie rock style, interlaced with acoustic influences. The album is notably more political than Moren's previous work, with the title having a double meaning in the form of career pyramids and pyramid schemes, and the idea of the pyramid as a type of grave. An English-language version of "Säg Mitt Namn" was released on the Volym 1 compilation album by INGRID and is included in the Broken Swenglish Vol. 1 EP released by Morén in late 2013, along with 'Constant Reaction' ('Orsak Och Verkan') and an English-language rewrite of 'Erik M. Nilsson' entitle ...
