''The Outlaws'' ( it, I fuorilegge) is a 1950 Italian crime film directed by Aldo Vergano. Plot Turi, having returned to Sicily from abroad, learns that his sister Maruzza is the lover of Cosimo Barrese, a militant of the Movement for the Independence of Sicily, who, abandoned by everyone, has become a bandit. The two would like to get married, but life as an outlaw seems an insurmountable obstacle. Turi asks for revenge on the bandit who has dishonored the family and uses a shady and devious lawyer to drive him into a trap. Aldo Vergano
Aldo Vergano (1891–1957) was an Italian director, screenwriter and journalist. He was the father of actress Serena Vergano. Biography Born in Rome, was son of Sebastiano Lodovico Vergano and Eleonora Zuddas. Vergano was the co-founder with Alessandro Blasetti of the magazine ''Cinematografo''. He made his film debut with the screenplay of Blasetti's ''Sun'', one of the most important films of the Italian silent cinema. In the thirties, though persecuted by fascism for his political views, he was a prolific screenwriter of Telefoni Bianchi films. He made his debut as a director with the patriotic drama ''Pietro Micca''. Tino Buazzelli
Agostino "Tino" Buazzelli (13 September 1922 – 20 October 1980) was an Italian stage, television and film actor. He appeared in 46 films between 1948 and 1978. After a diploma of education, Buazzelli enrolled the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica in Rome, graduating in 1946. He made his debut the following year, in the stage company Maltagliati-Gassman. He made his film debut in 1948, in Riccardo Freda's '' Il cavaliere misterioso''. Buazzelli's major successes relates to theatre, notably several stage works played in Piccolo Teatro in Milan between fifties and sixties, and his interpretation of Brecht's ''Life of Galileo'' (1963) referred as the peak of his career. Buazzelli had also a significant television success as Nero Wolfe in a series of television films starred between 1969 and 1971. Attilio Dottesio (16 July 1909 – 12 February 1989) was an Italian film character actor and singer. He appeared in 170 films between 1940 and 1985. Born in Brescia, Dottesio began his career in France, where first he obtained some success as a pop singer and later debuted as an actor in the film ''The Pearls of the Crown'' directed by Sacha Guitry. Back in Italy, he attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, then he began an intense career as a character actor. Rocco D'Assunta
Rocco D'Assunta (7 February 1904 – 27 January 1970) was an Italian actor, comedian and playwright. Life and career Born in Palermo, D'Assunta started acting at very young age with several Sicilian stage companies, including the ones led by Angelo Musco and Giovanni Grasso. At the beginning of the thirties he moved to Rome where he was part of the "Za-Bum Company" directed by Mario Mattoli, then he devoted himself to radio as a member of the "Teatro Comico Musicale" on Radio Roma that got him some popularity thanks to his comic monologues caricaturing typical Sicilian characters. He made his cinema debut in 1933, and was mainly cast in character roles of Sicilian people. He was also active on television. D'Assunta was also the author, under the pseudonym Roda, of the stage play ''Io, Angelo Musco'', which was first represented in 1962. Carlo Rustichelli (24 December 1916 – 13 November 2004) was an Italian film composer whose career spanned the 1940s to about 1990. His prolific output included about 250 film compositions, as well as arrangements for other films, and music for television.
