''I Wish My Brother George Was Here'' is the debut solo studio album by American hip hop musician Del the Funky Homosapien. It was released by Elektra Records in 1991. It peaked at number 24 on the ''Billboard'' Heatseekers Albums chart, as well as number 48 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It has been incorrectly assumed that the title of the album is a reference to George Clinton. The title actually refers to a quote from a ''Looney Tunes'' short film, which is in turn a reference to Liberace's catchphrase, which he would say on his television show whenever his brother George did not appear. Teren Delvon Jones (born August 12, 1972), better known by his stage name Del the Funky Homosapien (sometimes stylized as Del tha Funkee Homosapien) or Sir DZL, is an American rapper. Music career 1988–1997: Early life and beginnings Born in Oakland, California, he is the cousin of seminal West Coast rapper Ice Cube, and began his career writing lyrics for Ice Cube's group Da Lench Mob. George Liberace
George Liberace (July 31, 1911 – October 16, 1983) was an American musician and television performer. Biography Born in Menasha, Wisconsin on July 31, 1911, George Liberace was the elder brother and business partner of famed entertainer Liberace. He appeared regularly on his brother's syndicated television show in the 1950s as violin accompanist and orchestral arranger. ''Hyde and Hare'' is a 1955 Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' cartoon, directed by Friz Freleng. The short was released on August 27, 1955, and stars Bugs Bunny. The short is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 novella ''Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde''. The cartoon pits Bugs against Dr. Jekyll, who continues to turn into Mr. Hyde. The title is a play on the expression "neither hide nor hair." Plot Bugs comes out of his rabbit hole in a city park every morning because a kind gentleman keeps coming to feed him a carrot ("Well, here I go again with the 'timid little rabbit' routine. It's shameful, but - eh, it's a living!"). George Clinton (funk Musician)
George Edward Clinton (born July 22, 1941) is an American musician, singer, bandleader, and record producer. His Parliament-Funkadelic collective (which primarily recorded under the distinct band names Parliament and Funkadelic) developed an influential and eclectic form of funk music during the 1970s that drew on science fiction, outlandish fashion, psychedelia, and surreal humor. He launched his solo career with the 1982 album '' Computer Games'' and would go on to influence 1990s hip hop and G-funk. Clinton is regarded, along with James Brown and Sly Stone, as one of the foremost innovators of funk music.
