I Wayan Koster
I Wayan Koster (born 20 October 1962) is an Indonesian politician who is the 10th governor of Bali. Before becoming governor, he was a member of the People's Representative Council representing the province. A three-term parliamentarian representing his home province, Koster studied at Bandung Institute of Technology and Jakarta State University before becoming a lecturer and eventually joining PDI-P. Background Koster was born in the town of Singaraja on 20 October 1962. He completed his first twelve years of education there, graduating high school in 1981. Afterward, he moved to Bandung to study at the Bandung Institute of Technology, from where he graduated in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Later on, he received a masters from the International Golden Institute (1995) and a doctorate from Jakarta State University (1999). 2004 Indonesian Legislative Election
Indonesia held legislative elections on 5 April 2004 for both houses of the People's Consultative Assembly, the country's national legislature. This included all 550 seats in the People's Representative Council and 128 seats of the new Regional Representative Council. 2018 Bali Gubernatorial Election
The 2018 Bali gubernatorial election took place on 27 June 2018 as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the governor of Bali along with their deputy, whilst members of the provincial council (''Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah'') will be re-elected in 2019. Incumbent I Made Mangku Pastika was barred from participating in the re-elections after having served two full terms.
