I Want To Go Home (2017 Film)
''I Want to Go Home'' is a 2017 documentary film by filmmaker Wesley Leon Aroozoo. It made its world premiere at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival, competing for the Mecenat Award in the Wide Angle Documentary Competition, and its international premiere at the 28th Singapore International Film Festival in 2017. The documentary follows the story of Yasuo Takamatsu, a 58-year-old Japanese man whose wife was lost in the 2011 tsunami and has been diving every week around the small coastal town of Onagawa in search of her. The documentary is funded by Tokyo Filmex Next Masters Program (Japan), Infocomm Media Development Authority via the Development Assistance Fund. 22nd Busan International Film Festival
The 22nd Busan International Film Festival will be held from October 12 to October 21, 2017 at the Busan Cinema Center and hosted by Jang Dong-gun and Im Yoon-ah. A total of 300 films from 75 countries will be screened at the festival, including 100 world premieres and 29 international premieres. On October 15, 2017, President Moon made a surprise visit to the festival, promising noninterference and support for the festival. He also hopes BIFF will restore to its former glory and into a more prominent international film festival. A new Kim Jiseok Award was setup to commemorate the late Kim Jiseok, the Deputy Director and Program Director of Busan International Film Festival, who died in May 2017. BooksActually is an independent bookstore operating online. It was formerly located in Singapore's Tiong Bahru district till 2020. History and description BooksActually was established by Kenny Leck and Karen Wai in 2005 on the second floor of a shophouse along Telok Ayer Street with capital pooled from savings and family. The bookstore subsequently moved to Ann Siang Hill in 2007, and opened a second outlet at Club Street in 2008. Due to an increase in rent, they closed up Ann Siang Hill and moved from Club Street to Yong Siak Street in Tiong Bahru in 2011. BooksActually regularly hosts literary events including book launches and poetry readings, acoustic sessions, and mini exhibitions.
