I Scream Records
I Scream Records is an independent record label founded by Laurens Kusters in 1994 in Brussels, Belgium. The label has an extensive catalogue and is one of the leading punk and hardcore labels in Western Europe. History The label's first releases was from the band Deviate, a band in which Laurens Kusters played the drums. By the late nineties, I Scream Records had over 25 active bands. In late 2005, I Scream Records opened its US headquarters to work its rosters of bands (90% of which are American) through their own network. Previously, the label's masters were issued under license in the USA by companies such as Victory Records, Bridge 9 Records and Thorp Records. Early successes include releases from Deviate, Discipline, Backfire!, Stigmata, Agnostic Front, Blood for Blood and Vision. Dan Singer (born December 20, 1971), known professionally as Danny Diablo a.k.a. Lord Ezec, is an American hardcore punk and hip hop vocalist. xDISCIPLEx A.D. (or xdisciplex a.d.) was a straight edge Christian hardcore band from Erie, Pennsylvania. Formerly xdisciplex or disciple, the band had to change its name in November 2000 to avoid legal actions due to the already-established Christian metal band Disciple. They released albums with Goodfellow Records, Triple Crown Records and Facedown Records. The band often played in Ontario, Canada, due to its connections with the Buffalo/Hamilton hardcore scene and Goodfellow Records/Redstar Records. Earth Crisis is an American hardcore punk band from Syracuse, New York, active from 1989 until 2001, reuniting in 2007. Since 1993 the band's longest serving members are vocalist Karl Buechner, lead guitarist Scott Crouse, bassist Ian Edwards and drummer Dennis Merrick. The Wrecking Crew (music)
The Wrecking Crew was a loose collective of Los Angeles-based session musicians whose services were employed for a great number of studio recordings in the 1960s and 1970s, including hundreds of top 40 hits. The musicians were not publicly recognized in their era, but were viewed with reverence by industry insiders. They are now considered one of the most successful and prolific session recording units in music history. Most of the players associated with the Wrecking Crew had formal backgrounds in jazz or classical music. The group had no official name in its active years, and it remains a subject of contention whether or not they were referred to as "the Wrecking Crew" at the time. Founded in the Netherlands in 1980, it is now a division of Warner Music Group and is based in New York City. History The label was launched in 1980 in the Netherlands. Founded in 1980, the band is considered an important influence on the New York hardcore scene, as well as a pioneer of the crossover thrash genre. Wisdom In Chains
Wisdom in Chains is an American hardcore punk band based out of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The band's name is taken from the lyrics of a song by the New York hardcore band Killing Time. "Wisdom", from Killing Time's 1989 debut album, '' Brightside'', opens with, "Wisdom in chains, unlocked too late". Biography Originally, Wisdom in Chains started as an international collaboration between members of Daredevil in the Netherlands and members of Krutch in the United States. Maarten, guitarist of Daredevil (Dutch hardcore band), contacted Mad Joe Black and Richie Krutch, who were both in Krutch at the time, about forming a hardcore band with heavy punk and oi! influences.
