''I Know'' is the eleventh studio album by American contemporary R&B, R&B singer and songwriter Luther Vandross, released in August 1998 (see 1998 in music), and his only one for Virgin Records. It serves as his first album since fulfilling his contract with Epic Records, Epic after the release of his album ''Your Secret Love'' (1996). The album features guest appearances from artists such as Cassandra Wilson, Guru (rapper), Guru, Stevie Wonder, Brandy Norwood, Brandy, Marcella Precise and Bob James (musician), Bob James. ''Joy'' is the only solo album by British singer Paul King, released in 1987, on CBS after King, the band he was lead singer for split up in 1986. The album was produced by American musician Dan Hartman. It failed to chart, and only produced a minor hit out of two single releases: "I Know", which stalled at number 59, and "Follow My Heart", which failed to chart in the UK top 75. New Atlantic
New Atlantic were an early 1990s British electronic dance music duo from Southport, Merseyside. They were made up of Richard Lloyd and Cameron Saunders, and best known for their UK #12 hit "I Know" in March 1992. The CD single of "I Know" contained an alternate mix, which was performed by the group onstage on the UK television programme, ''The Hitman and Her''. New Atlantic were signed to Liverpool's 3 Beat Records, which in turn signed the track to Pete Waterman's PWL Records; a remix was done by Love Decade, which became the most recognizable version. ''Songs for a Dying Planet'' is the tenth solo studio album by the American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joe Walsh. It was released in mid 1992, on the label Epic. Keen to re-establish himself after his ill-received 1991 album, ''Ordinary Average Guy'', Walsh enlisted his former producer Bill Szymczyk. At the end of the track "Certain Situations," one can hear a Morse code message that says "Register and vote for me." The album was received negatively by the majority of music critics and it was also a commercial disappointment, missing the album charts on both sides of the Atlantic, which called an end to Walsh's solo career for 20 years before he released another solo album in 2012 called '' Analog Man.'' The Hollywood Flames were an American R&B vocal group in the 1950s, best known for their No. 11 hit "Buzz-Buzz-Buzz" in 1957. Early years They formed as The Flames in 1949, in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, at a talent show where members of various high school groups got together. The original members were Bobby Byrd (lead), David Ford, Curlee Dinkins and Willie Ray Rockwell. Rockwell was replaced by Clyde Tillis, and Ford sometimes sang lead.
