Lorrie Morgan
Loretta Lynn Morgan (born June 27, 1959) is an American country music singer and actress. She is the daughter of George Morgan, widow of Keith Whitley, and ex-wife of Jon Randall and Sammy Kershaw, all of whom are also country music singers. Morgan has been active as a singer since the age of 13, and charted her first single in 1979. She achieved her greatest success between 1988 and 1999, recording for RCA Records and the defunct BNA Records. Her first two RCA albums ('' Leave the Light On'' and ''Something in Red'') and her BNA album '' Watch Me'' are all certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). ''Watch Me'' is the third studio album by American country music singer Lorrie Morgan. The album was her first for BNA Records. It was released on 9 October 1992. It peaked at #15 on the Billboard country albums chart, and includes the singles "Watch Me" (#2) "What Part of No" (#1), "I Guess You Had to Be There" (#14), and "Half Enough" (#8). Also included on this album is a cover of "It's a Heartache", a pop standard previously recorded by Bonnie Tyler and Juice Newton. Jimmy Griffin, Richard Mainegra, and Rick Yancey are all featured as background vocalists on this album. At the time, these three musicians recorded on BNA as The Remingtons. Mainegra and Yancey also wrote the last track, "She's Takin' Him Back Again", which was omitted from the cassette version of ''Watch Me''. BNA Records, formerly known as BNA Entertainment, was a label group that shared ties with Arista Nashville and RCA Nashville from parent company Sony Music Nashville, which itself is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, BNA featured country music acts on its roster. The company derived its name from the IATA and ICAO airport codes for Nashville International Airport. The label was founded by Boomer Castleman, who sold it to BMG Music in 1993. The first act signed was The Remingtons. Richard Landis is an American studio musician, recording artist, singer/songwriter, and music producer. He has over 40 years of professional credits and chart success including a share of the 1994 CMA award for Album of the Year. At years end, ''Billboard'' ranked Landis 18th of the top 25 producers in country music. Landis has production tenure with several acclaimed labels including Capitol, Columbia, and RCA.
