I Am Just A Rebel
''I Am Just a Rebel'' is the debut studio album by American country music band Billy Hill. Released by Reprise Records in 1989, the album contains the hit song "Too Much Month at the End of the Money". It was the band's only album. "Rollin' Dice" was originally recorded by lead singer Dennis Robbins in 1986 for his MCA Records album, ''The First of Me''. It was also featured on the soundtrack to the film '' Pink Cadillac''. Billy Hill's version of "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)" made an appearance in the 1990 film '' My Blue Heaven''. Critical reception The ''Chicago Tribune'' deemed ''I Am Just a Rebel'' a "rollicking album," writing that "Billy Hill delivers heat, humor and heart." Billy Hill (band)
Billy Hill was an American country music group founded by singer/songwriter/guitarists Dennis Robbins, Bob DiPiero and John Scott Sherrill, along with Reno Kling (bass guitar) and Martin Parker (drums). Before the group's foundation, Robbins had been a member of The Rockets (later The Detroit Wheels), and Kling played bass for Steve Earle. Sherrill and Robbins alternated as lead vocalists, but credited the frontman role to a fictional character named Billy Hill and wrote a biography on the character. The band recorded one album for Reprise Records and charted two singles on the ''Billboard'' country charts. Their biggest hit was "Too Much Month at the End of the Money" which reached No. 25 on the Billboard country charts. After disbanding in 1990, Robbins became a solo artist for Giant. Barry Beckett
Barry Edward Beckett (February 4, 1943 – June 10, 2009) was an American keyboardist, session musician, record producer, and studio founder. He is best known for his work with David Hood, Jimmy Johnson, and Roger Hawkins, his bandmates in the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which performed with numerous notable artists on their studio albums and helped define the "Muscle Shoals sound". Among the artists Beckett recorded with were Bob Dylan, Boz Scaggs, Paul Simon, Rod Stewart, Duane Allman, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Dire Straits, The Proclaimers and Phish. Bucky Baxter
William "Bucky" Baxter (1955May 25, 2020) was an American guitarist. He is best known as a member of Steve Earle and The Dukes and as a member of Bob Dylan's backing band in the mid-90s during the Never Ending Tour. He released his only solo album, ''Most Likely, No Problem'', in 1999. Early life Baxter was born in Melbourne, Florida, in 1955. He started learning how to play pedal steel guitar in the 1970s. In the following decade, he met Steve Earle and played in the latter's debut album, '' Guitar Town'', in 1986. Career Baxter was a founding member of The Dukes, Earle's backing band. Edward Holland Jr. (born October 30, 1939) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Holland was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States. John Scott Sherrill is an American songwriter whose work is primarily in the field of country music. His brother, Donn Sherrill, was a Vanderbilt student. He introduced John Scott to his fraternity brother, Scott Siman who recorded demos of his music.
