The IZh-81 (''ИЖ-81'') is a Russian pump-action shotgun. History In 1990s and even in year 2000 IZh-81 was the most common shotgun in private security companies in Russia. In 1997, work began on creating a semi-automatic shotgun based on the design of IZh-81. In 1998, first MP-151 shotgun was made. After tests and trials, in 1999 this shotgun was presented at the " IWA-99" arms exhibition in Nuremberg. Baikal MP-153
The Baikal MP-153 is a 12 gauge gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun manufactured by Kalashnikov Concern (originally by the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant) in Russia. The shotgun is available with 12/76mm or 12/89mm chambers and either 610, 650, 710 or 750 mm barrels. The MP-153 is manufactured with fixed choke available as Cylinder, Modified or Full variants, or with screw in chokes with Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, Full and Extra Full variants available. Normally there are 3 or 4 chokes included with multi choke variants of the shotgun and a spanner that duplicates as a choke extractor and gas screw adjustor. Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (russian: Ижевский Механический Завод, ''Izhevsky Mekhanicheskiy Zavod'') or IZHMEKH (ИЖМЕХ) was a major firearms manufacturer founded in Izhevsk in 1942 for manufacturing small arms. Pump-action Shotguns
Pump action or slide action is a repeating firearm action that is operated manually by moving a sliding handguard on the gun's forestock. When shooting, the sliding forend is pulled rearward to eject any expended cartridge and typically to cock the hammer/ striker, and then pushed forward to load (''chamber'') a new cartridge into the chamber. Most pump-action firearms use an integral tubular magazine, although some do use detachable box magazines. Pump-action is typically associated with shotguns, although it has been used in rifles and other firearms as well. Because the forend is manipulated usually with the support hand, a pump-action gun is much faster than a bolt-action and somewhat faster than a lever-action, as it does not require the trigger hand to be removed from the trigger while reloading.
