IWRG Guerra Revolucionaria
The IWRG Guerra Revolucionaria (Spanish for the "Revolutionary War") is a major ''lucha libre'' show produced and scripted by the Mexican International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG; sometimes referred to as ''Grupo Internacional Revolución'' in Mexico) on a near-annual basis. The first '' Guerra Revolucionaria'' show was held in 2009. Since then IWRG has held a show in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015. List Of Major IWRG Shows
The Mexican ''Lucha libre'', or professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) has produced and scripted a number of wrestling shows since their creation on January 1, 1996 by promoter Adolfo "Pirata" Moreno. Some of these shows have become annual events, some are special one-off events, normally indicated by a special main event match or being promoted under a special name, and some are IWRG's normally scheduled Wednesday or Sunday shows. Many of the annual and special events are headlined by a ''Lucha de Apuestas'', or "bet match", where a wrestler will put his wrestling mask or hair on the line. Wrestling Promotion
A professional wrestling promotion is a company or business that regularly performs shows involving professional wrestling that has little relationship to the rules of the amateur olympic form. "Promotion" also describes a role which entails management, advertising and logistics of running a wrestling event (''see promoter''). Within the convention of the show, the company is a sports governing body which sanctions wrestling matches and gives authority to the championships and is responsible for maintaining the divisions and their rankings. In truth, the company serves as a touring theatre troupe, as well as event promotion body for its own events. Guillermo Martinez Cid (born July 29, 1972 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler known under a variety of ring names, primarily Bombero Infernal. He was the first person to wrestle under the name AK-47 but was later replaced, he also worked as Matrix, Kraneo, Capitán Muerte and Temerario Infernal. José Ángel Bocanegra González (born February 7, 1981) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or masked professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Oficial 911. As Oficial 911 he is part of a group called ''Los Oficiales'' that has worked for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) since 2007. The team held the record for the longest-reigning Distrito Federal Trios Champions and are the most successful holders of the IWRG Intercontinental Trios Championship, holding it longer than any other trios team and having defended it more times than any previous champions have. Mini-Estrella
The term ''Mini-Estrella'' (Spanish for "Mini-Star") is used in lucha libre to describe a division of short professional wrestlers or ''luchadors'', some of whom have dwarfism. The Mexican ''Mini-Estrellas'' is comparable to Midget wrestling practiced around the world, but with the notable exception that some of the ''Mini-Estrellas'' do not have dwarfism but are simply short. Some ''Mini-Estrellas'' have later on moved on to work as regular sized competitors. Lucha Libre
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. The wearing of masks has developed special significance, and matches are sometimes contested in which the loser must permanently remove his mask, which is a wager with a high degree of weight attached.
