ISO 22324
ISO 22324:2022, ''Security and resilience — Emergency management — Guidelines for colour-coded alerts'', is an international standard developed by ISO/TC 292 Security and resilience. This document provide guidelines for color codes to indicate severity of hazards in public warnings. There are many different systems are already in use, such as colour state of meteorological condition or former Homeland Security Advisory System, and the standard is intended to be an approach to eliminate confusion due to such differences. ISO/TC 292
ISO/TC 292 Security and resilience is a technical committee of the International Organization for Standardization formed in 2015 to develop standards in the area of security and resilience. The Technical Management Board of ISO (TMB) decided in June 2014 to create a new ISO technical committee with the number ISO/TC 292 by merging three committees into one. The work of ISO/TC 292 officially started on 2015-01-01 and the three previous committees were dissolved and their workprogrammes moved to the new committee. ISO/TC 292 also was given the responsibility for the ISO 28000 series (Security management in the supply chain)previously developed by ISO/TC 8. The TMB decision was made in order to clarify ISO's structural organization on security matters, and to prepare for future topics in this field by creating a de facto coordination body within the TC central structure. Color Codes
A color code is a system for displaying information by using different colors. The earliest examples of color codes in use are for long-distance communication by use of flags, as in semaphore communication. The United Kingdom adopted a color code scheme for such communication wherein red signified danger and white signified safety, with other colors having similar assignments of meaning. As chemistry and other technologies advanced, it became expedient to use coloration as a signal for telling apart things that would otherwise be confusingly similar, such as wiring in electrical and electronic devices, and pharmaceutical pills. Munsell Color System
In colorimetry, the Munsell color system is a color space that specifies colors based on three properties of color: hue (basic color), chroma (color intensity), and value ( lightness).
