The Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) ( fa, فدراسیون فوتبال جمهوری اسلامی ایران, Federâsion-è Futbâl-è Jomhuri-ye Eslâmi-ye Irân) is the governing body of association football in Iran. Formed in 1920, it is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the amateur and professional game in the country. Persian Gulf Pro League
The Persian Gulf Pro League ( fa, لیگ برتر خلیج فارس, ''Lig-e Bartar-e Xalij-e Fârs''), formerly known as the Iran Pro League ( fa, links=no, لیگ برتر ایران, ''Lig-e bartar-e Irân''), is the highest division of professional football in Iran. It is the top-level football league in Iran since its foundation. Each year, its top team becomes the Iranian football champion, and the two lowest finishers are relegated to Azadegan League. Since 2013, the league comprises 16 teams. The winner and runner-up of the Persian Gulf Pro League along with the Hazfi Cup champion are automatically qualified for the AFC Champions League group stages. Mohammad Hassan Ansarifar
Mohammad Hassan Ansarifard ( fa, محمدحسن انصاریفرد; born 9 September 1962) is an Iranian former footballer who played for Persepolis and the Iranian national team. He is currently the president of Persepolis F.C. since 27 August 2019. He was also president of Persepolis F.C. from 2005 until 2007, and also managing director of Rah Ahan F.C. from 2007 to 2012. Mohsen Safaei Farahani ( fa, محسن صفایی فراهانی) is an Iranian reformist politician. Career He is a member of Mosharekat Party, the main reformist party in Iran under President Khatami. He was a Majlis representative from Tehran from 1999 to 2003. He was also the President of the Iranian Football Federation from 1998 to 2002. IFF Transitory Board In November 2006 the federation was suspended by FIFA due to government interference in football matters.
