IRB Junior Player Of The Year
The World Rugby Junior Player of the Year is an accolade awarded annually by the World Rugby. It is awarded to the player of the tournament in that year's World Rugby Under 20 Championship. It replaces the now defunct U21 Player of the Year and the U19 Player of the Year. From 2008 until 2013, it was the IRB Junior Player of the Year. Since 2014, following the International Rugby Board becoming World Rugby, the award has been titled the World Rugby Junior Player of the Year. Samuel Jordan Cane (born 13 January 1992) is a New Zealand rugby union rugby player. His regular playing position is as a loose forward. He currently plays for Chiefs and Bay of Plenty. Cane made his international debut for New Zealand in 2012. On 5 May 2020 Cane was named the captain of the All Blacks, succeeding Kieran Read. Jonah Placid (born 14 May 1995) is an Australian rugby union player who currently plays as a fullback for the in Super Rugby. Domestically, he plays for Easts in the Queensland Premier Rugby tournament. Akira Ioane (born 16 June 1995) is a New Zealand rugby union player. James Robert Chisholm (born 11 August 1995) is an English professional rugby union player, currently playing for Harlequins in the Gallagher Premiership. His primary position is Number Eight, but he can also play at flanker. Nathan Earle (born 25 September 1994) is a Hong Kong-born English professional rugby union footballer. He plays at wing and full back. He plays for Ealing Trailfinders.
