The French Polar Institute Paul-Émile Victor (Institut polaire français Paul-Émile Victor, IPEV) has been the organization leading the French National Antarctic Program since 1992. Based in Plouzané, Finistère, it operates the Dumont d'Urville Station and jointly operates the Concordia Station with the Italians and the AWIPEV Arctic Research Station with the Germans. AWIPEV Arctic Research Station
The AWIPEV Arctic Research Station is located in the arctic, on the Svalbard archipelago of Norway. The station is part of the research base of Ny-Ålesund, owned and managed by Kings Bay AS. Concordia Station
Concordia Research Station, which opened in 2005, is a French–Italian research facility that was built above sea level at a location called Dome C on the Antarctic Plateau, Antarctica. It is located inland from the French research station at Dumont D'Urville, inland from Australia's Casey Station and inland from the Italian Zucchelli Station at Terra Nova Bay. The Dumont d'Urville Station (french: Base antarctique Dumont-d'Urville) is a French scientific station in Antarctica on Île des Pétrels, Geologie Archipelago, archipelago of Pointe-Géologie in Adélie Land.
