INF Vichy
The Institut National du Football de Vichy, more commonly known as INF Vichy, was a Youth system, football academy based in Vichy, France. Founded in 1972 by the French Football Federation, it was dissolved in 1990. The academy had a team that competed in the French Division 3 (1971–1993), Division 3. History The Institut National du Football de Vichy opened its doors on 6 November 1972. It was an initiative made by the French Football Federation, in cooperation with the ''Groupement du Football Professionnel'' and the Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionels. It functioned in conjunction with the of Vichy, which opened at the same time as the academy. INF Vichy would include 40 players over the age of 16 in its first year. Youth System
In sporting terminology, a youth system (or youth academy) is a youth investment program within a particular team or league, which develops and nurtures young talent in farm teams, with the vision of using them in the first team in the future if they show enough promise and potential, and to fill up squad numbers in some teams with small budgets. Erick Mombaerts (born 21 April 1955) is a French Association football, football manager and former player. Playing career Mombaerts is a youth product of INF Vichy. He went on to play for US Nœux-les-Mines, Nœux-les-Mines and Montluçon Football, Montluçon before retiring in 1984. Coaching career Mombaerts began his coaching career with Paris Saint-Germain F.C., Paris Saint-Germain, taking charge between October 1987 and February 1988.
