''IIcons'' is the sixth studio album by American hip hop group Naughty by Nature. It was released on May 7, 2002 on TVT Records. Production was handled by Naughty by Nature, Da Beatminerz, DJ Twinz and Lil' Jon. It features guest appearances from Rottin Razkals, 3LW, Carl Thomas, Chyna Whyte, Freddie Foxxx, Icarus, Lil' Jon, Method Man, Pink, Queen Latifah, Redman and Road Dawgs. "Feels Good (Don't Worry Bout a Thing)" is the only single released from Naughty by Nature's sixth album, ''IIcons''. It was released on April 30, 2002 and featured R&B group 3LW. The single found success, making it to six Billboard charts, including 53 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. This was Naughty by Nature's only single to not feature DJ Kay Gee on production, instead the production was handled by the remaining members, Treach and Vin Rock. Road Dawgs
The Road Dawgs were an American hip hop duo composed of G-Luv and Swamp Rat. They started their career as associates of Naughty by Nature in 1993. They then signed a deal with Mack 10's Hoo-Bangin' Records in the late 90s and issued their only album in 1999 entitled '' Don't Be Saprize''. The duo first appeared on Naughty by Nature's "Klickow-Klickow" with the Rottin Razkals in 1993. The song appeared as a B-Side on the " Written on Ya Kitten" single but it was left off the ''19 Naughty III'' album. "Klickow-Klickow" instead appeared on Naughty's next album, ''Poverty's Paradise'' in 1995. The Road Dawgs also appeared on "Hang Out and Hustle" and "Connections" on that album and on the Rottin Razkals debut album, '' Rottin ta da Core'', that same year. Method Man & Redman
Method Man & Redman (also referred to as Meth & Red, Red & Mef, John Blaze and Funk Doc or Funk Doctor Spock and Johnny Blaze) are an American hip hop duo, composed of East Coast rappers Method Man (of Wu-Tang Clan) and Redman (of Def Squad). They are signed to Def Jam Recordings both as solo artists and as a duo. While they had been collaborating since 1994, it was not until 1999 that they released a full-length collaborative effort, '' Blackout!''. The follow-up album, ''Blackout! 2'', was released in 2009. Rottin Razkals
The Rottin Razkals were an American hip hop group signed to Motown Records' sub-label, Mad Sounds Recordings. Composed of three members, Chap, Fam, and Diesel (Treach's younger brother), the group was closely associated with Naughty by Nature, first appearing on their 1993 album, ''19 Naughty III'' on the song "Knock Em Out Da Box". Eventually landing a deal with Motown, the Rottin Razkals' debut album, '' Rottin ta da Core'', was released on March 14, 1995. Though the album did not make it very high on the charts, only peaking at #190 on the ''Billboard'' 200, two singles from the album found some success on the Hot Rap Singles chart, "Hey Alright" and " Oh Yeah" made it to #23 and #14 on the chart respectively. Da Beatminerz are a hip-hop production crew from Bushwick, Brooklyn, and are known for their dark, gritty sound that is very popular with the underground hip-hop scene. History The crew, originally composed of brothers Mr. Walt (born June 2, 1968) and DJ Evil Dee (born May 24, 1971), formed in 1992, making their production debut with Evil Dee's group Black Moon, on its debut single, "Who Got Da Props?" Keir Lamont Gist (born September 15, 1969), professionally known by his stage name KayGee, is an American DJ and record producer from East Orange, New Jersey, best known as a member of hip hop trio Naughty by Nature. He has won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 38th Annual Grammy Awards for ''Poverty's Paradise''. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. Reginald Noble (born April 17, 1970), better known by his stage name Redman, is an American rapper, DJ, record producer, and actor.
