II World Cup Of Masters
The fifth edition of the World Cup of Masters was held jointly in Austria and Italy. It was played in July 1993. This time the edition was expanded to eight "Masters" teams, each playing in two groups of fours with the group winners facing each other in the final. The teams were reigning champions Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands, hosts Italy and Austria (playing in their first tournament) Germany, Uruguay and England. Walter Schachner
Walter "Schoko" Schachner (born 1 February 1957) is a football manager and former player, who played as a forward. He made 64 appearances scoring 23 goals for the Austria national team. As he always brought chocolate to the games when he was a boy, he got the nickname ''schoko''. He was one of the most successful Austrian players in Italian football, as he played for four clubs over seven years. Club career Schachner was born in Leoben, Austria. Much-travelled, he started his professional career at local outfit Alpine Donawitz at 18 in the 1975–76 season, earning a place in the national team after only one and a half season. He was duly picked up by Vienna club Austria Wien but moved abroad to play in Italy for seven years, from 1981 to 1988, in A.C. Cesena (58 matches, 17 goals), Torino F.C. Michael Kutzop
Michael Kutzop (born 24 March 1955) is a German former professional footballer who played as a defender. He spent seven seasons in the Bundesliga with Kickers Offenbach and SV Werder Bremen. Kutzop took arguably the most famous penalty kick in the history of Bundesliga. On the penultimate game day of the 1985–86 season Kutzop's league-leading SV Werder Bremen were playing second-placed Bayern Munich. Werder's victory in that game would guarantee them the title. With the score of 0–0 Kutzop took the penalty kick in the 88th minute and hit the right goalpost. The game ended 0–0. On the last game day Bayern Munich beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 6–0, Werder lost 2–1 to VfB Stuttgart (the team they beat 6–0 earlier in the season) and Bayern took the title on goal difference. Walter Kelsch
Walter Kelsch (born 3 September 1955) is a German former footballer who played as a forward. Club career Kelsch started his career with TSV Büsnau. Then he played for Stuttgarter Kickers and later on for VfB Stuttgart. In 246 Bundesliga matches he scored 54 goals. In France he played 78 matches (20 goals) for RC Strasbourg. 67 (18) in the Division 1 and eleven (two) in the Division 2. International career Kelsch won four caps (1979 and 1980) for the West Germany national team, in which he scored three goals. Marcel Răducanu (born 21 October 1954) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Club career Marcel Răducanu was born in Bucharest on 21 October 1954. He grew up in the Pantelimon neighborhood and started to play organised football at the age of 7 at Progresul București, after which at the age of 9 and a half he moved at Steaua București's youth center where he was coached by Francisc Fabian. Johann "Hans" Krankl (; born 14 February 1953) is a retired Austrian footballer. A prolific striker, Krankl is regarded by many as one of Austria's greatest players. Club career Krankl started his professional career at Rapid Wien and stayed there for 8 years, apart from a year at Wiener AC. He won the European Golden Boot at Rapid Wien in 1978, attracting the interest of Barcelona. Wörthersee Stadion (), known as 28 Black Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium located in Klagenfurt, Austria. It is the home ground of Austria Klagenfurt. The stadium is situated within the Sportpark Klagenfurt campus of several other sports venues. Its name refers to the nearby Wörthersee lake. Daniel Alberto Brailovsky Poliak ( he, אלברטו דניאל בריילובסקי, sometimes spelled Brailovski, born November 18, 1958) is an Argentine-born Israeli former professional footballer and manager. Frank Stewart Worthington (23 November 1948 – 22 March 2021) was an English footballer who played as a forward. Worthington was born into a footballing family in Shelf, near Halifax, West Riding of Yorkshire. Luther Loide Blissett (born 1 February 1958) is a former professional footballer and manager who played for the England national team during the 1980s. Born in Jamaica, Blissett played as a striker, and is best known for his time at Watford, whom he helped win promotion from the Fourth Division to the First Division.
