III – Tri-Logy
III – Tri-Logy is the third and final studio album from the Finnish group Kingston Wall. The album name is sometimes cited as ''Tri-Logy'' or ''Tri~Logy''. This album was originally released under the band's own record label, Trinity, in autumn 1994. It was also licensed and released in Japan by Japanese Zero record label. Both of these prints have been sold out in the 1990s and are considered somewhat collectable, collector's items. In the original print, the front cover featured a Kingston Wall logo as a sticker on the jewel case. In 1998, Finnish record label Zen Garden (later SonyBMG Finland) re-released the whole Kingston Wall discography as remastered versions along with a 2-disc limited print-version of each album which included a Bonus CD featuring rare/unreleased studio and live material. Bruno Maximus
Bruno Maximus (born 1970 in Jyväskylä, Finland) is the pseudonym of an anonymous Finnish art painter. He calls his artistic style "hypnorealism", and says it is related to the style of Salvador Dali in his younger years, albeit without "masochism". The style has been described as "consisting of elements that are realistic by themselves, but which are combined and stretched to create weird and funny surrealistic events, with everything in bright colors and exhibiting a naivistically good mood", surrealistic without "violence", and as "dream-like". Maximus has lived and worked in Australia, Brazil, England, Portugal, France and Hungary. In addition to his hundreds of paintings, he is known for his contribution to a book titled ''Joulupukin lomamatkat'' () with Sinikka Salokorpi, and designing stamps for the Finnish postal service. Henrik Otto Donner
Henrik Otto Donner (16 November 1939 – 26 June 2013) was a Finnish composer, musician and all-round music personality. His musical styles varied from pop and rock music to jazz, electronic music and contemporary classical music. Donner's personal instrument was trumpet. He was a member of the famous Finland Swedish Donner family. Donner was one of the pioneers of Finnish avant-garde and experimental music as well as an important figure in Finnish left-wing "song movement" of the 1960s and 1970s. He studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and later in Vienna as a student of György Ligeti. In 1966 Donner was one of the founders of record label Love Records which was a pioneering label in Finnish rock music. Donner collaborated with many Finnish musicians and artists such as Erkki Kurenniemi, Juhani Aaltonen, A. W. Yrjänä, Hasse Walli and Dave Lindholm. Didgeridoo
The didgeridoo (; also spelt didjeridu, among other variants) is a wind instrument, played with vibrating lips to produce a continuous drone while using a special breathing technique called circular breathing. The didgeridoo was developed by Aboriginal peoples of northern Australia at least 1,000 years ago, and is now in use around the world, though still most strongly associated with Indigenous Australian music. In the Yolŋu languages of the indigenous people of northeast Arnhem Land the name for the instrument is the ''yiḏaki'', or more recently by some, ''mandapul''. Sakari Kukko, (full Name: Jyrki Sakari Kukko, born 8 July 1953, Kajaani, Finland) is a Finnish musician. Career Kukko started his career in the early 1960s as a singer participating in several singing contests and performing in radio stations, TV programs and other venues. At the age of 7, He began taking piano lessons. Soon after that he started to play also guitar and flute, and later saxophone. In the mid-1960s, He started forming bands. Sami Kuoppamäki
Sami Kuoppamäki (born 1971) is a Finnish drummer who has been a very prolific jazz and popular music session musician after the break-up of his early-90s band, Kingston Wall. He played on the Von Hertzen Brothers album ''Approach'' in 2006 before rejoining the ex-Kingston Wall bassist Jukka Jylli in the band Zook. In 2017 he rejoined Von Hertzen Brothers, and as of 2023, is still recording and touring with them. Session work In 1994 Kuoppamäki played session drums as a stand-in for the popular power metal band Stratovarius, for the recording of their third studio album, ''Dreamspace'' (his contribution can be heard on five of the album's songs). This was due to regular drummer Tuomo Lassila suffering from an arm injury. In 2000–2001 Kuoppamäki played drums in the house band of the Finnish TV show ''Hotelli Sointu''. Jukka Kalevi Jylli is a Finnish bass-player who played in the psychedelic/progressive rock group Kingston Wall Kingston Wall was a psychedelic/progressive rock group from Helsinki, Finland, originally formed in 1987. Influenced by such artists as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, the group combined eastern themes, mysticism and vivid psychedelia .... Petri Walli
Petri Ilari Walli (February 25, 1969 – June 28, 1995) was the founder, vocalist, guitar-player, songwriter and producer of the Finnish psychedelic rock-band Kingston Wall. Petri was born in Finland, his brother is Aki Walli. He also have half-brother Hasse Walli who is a Finnish guitarist. Petri (aka Pete) founded the band called Kingston Wall in 1987, and he was the spirit behind the whole band. They came out with three albums in 1992, 1993 and 1994, and broke up in December the same year as the last album was released. The break-up was Walli's idea, as he wanted Kingston Wall to be on a hiatus for an unspecified time. After the break-up Petri travelled to Goa, India, where he had been many times before with his friend Ior Bock.
