Integral Field Unit
Integral Field Spectrographs (IFS) combine spectrographic and imaging capabilities in the optical or infrared wavelength domains -from 0.32 μm to 24 μm- to get from a single exposure spatially resolved spectra in a bi-dimensional region. Developed at first for the study of astronomical objects, this technique is now also used in many other fields, e.g. bio-medical science and Earth remote sensing, usually under the name of snapshot hyperspectral imaging. Rationale With the notable exception of individual stars, most astronomical objects are spatially resolved by large telescopes igure JWST moderately deep exposure For spectroscopic studies, the optimum would then be to get a spectrum for each spatial pixel (often call a spaxel in the IFS jargon) in the instrument field of view, getting full information on each target. This is loosely called a datacube from its two spatial and one spectral dimensions. Since both Visible Charge-Coupled Devices (CCD) and Infrared Detector Arrays ...

International Fruit And Vegetable Juice Association
The International Fruit and Vegetable Juice Association (IFU) represents the worldwide juice sector interests as the registered non-governmental organization (NGO) at Codex Alimentarius. It also represents the sector with World Health Organization (WHO), World Trade Organization (WTO), World Customs Organization (WCO) and any other relevant governmental or intergovernmental organisation. Overview The IFU was founded in Paris in 1949 as the International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers named International Fruit Juice Union. The name of the organisation was changed in 2015 to International Fruit and Vegetable Juice Association to reflect the diversity of the membership base. Today it is represented in 77 member countries across 6 continents. IFU acts as an information and communication centre/facilitator, harmonizes standards and practices for juice containing products and its supply chain, co-ordinates scientific activities to benefit the juice sector and is the accepted forum ...

Instruction Fetch Unit
The instruction unit (I-unit or IU), also called, e.g., instruction fetch unit (IFU), instruction issue unit (IIU), instruction sequencing unit (ISU), in a central processing unit (CPU) is responsible for organizing program instructions to be fetched from memory, and executed, in an appropriate order, and for forwarding them to an execution unit (E-unit or EU). The I-unit may also do, e.g., address resolution, pre-fetching, prior to forwarding an instruction. It is a part of the control unit, which in turn is part of the CPU. In the simplest style of computer architecture, the instruction cycle is very rigid, and runs exactly as specified by the programmer. In the instruction fetch part of the cycle, the value of the instruction pointer (IP) register is the address of the next instruction to be fetched. This value is placed on the address bus and sent to the memory unit; the memory unit returns the instruction at that address, and it is latched into the instruction register (IR); a ...

Medication Package Insert
A package insert is a document included in the package of a medication that provides information about that drug and its use. For prescription medications, the insert is technical, providing information for medical professionals about how to prescribe the drug. Package inserts for prescription drugs often include a separate document called a "patient package insert" with information written in plain language intended for the end-user—the person who will take the drug or give the drug to another person, such as a minor. Inserts for over-the-counter medications are also written plainly. In the United States, labelling for the healthcare practitioner is called "Prescribing Information" (PI), and labelling for patients and/or caregivers includes "Medication Guides", "Patient Package Inserts", and "Instructions for Use". In Europe, the technical document is called the "summary of product characteristics" (SmPC), and the document for end-users is called the "patient information leafl ...
