IFLA Journal
''IFLA Journal'' is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal that covers the fields of librarianship and information science. It publishes original research, case studies, and essays on library and information services and the social, political and economic issues that impact access to information through libraries. The editor-in-chief is Steven Witt (University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign). It was established in 1975 and is published by SAGE Publications on behalf of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). Ei Compendex is an engineering bibliographic database published by Elsevier. The name "Compendex" stands for COMPuterized ENgineering inDEX. It covers scientific literature pertaining to engineering materials. It started in 1884 under the name ''Engineering Index'' (Ei) and its first electronic bulletin was issued in 1967. CSA (formerly ''Cambridge Scientific Abstracts'') was a division of Cambridge Information Group and provider of online databases, based in Bethesda, Maryland before merging with ProQuest of Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2007. Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles (22,794 active titles and 13,583 inactive titles) from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields: life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences and health sciences. It covers three types of sources: book series, journals, and trade journals. Academic Search is a monthly indexing service. It was first published in 1997 by EBSCO Publishing in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Its academic focus is international universities, covering social science, education, psychology, and other subjects. Publishing formats covered are academic journals, magazines, newspapers, and CD-ROM. Academic Search Complete Academic Search Complete was first published in 2007 as Academic Premier.
