Independent Commission Against Corruption (Hong Kong)
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong was established by Governor of Hong Kong, Governor MacLehose of Beoch, Sir Murray MacLehose on 15 February 1974, when Hong Kong was under colonial Hong Kong, British rule. Its main aim was to clean up endemic corruption in the many departments of the Government of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Government through law enforcement, prevention and community education. The ICAC is independent of the Hong Kong Civil Service and politically-appointed Principal officials of Hong Kong, Principal Officials. The Basic Law of Hong Kong stipulates that the ICAC shall function independently and be directly accountable to the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. Previous to the Handover of Hong Kong, transfer of sovereignty in 1997, ICAC reported directly to the Governor of Hong Kong, and appointments to the ICAC were also made directly by his office. The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) (french: Commission indépendante contre la corruption) is the Anti-corruption agency of Mauritius. The ICAC is headed by the Director-General. The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is an agency of the Government of New South Wales responsible for eliminating and investigating corrupt activities and enhancing the integrity of the state's public administration. The Commission was established in 1989, pursuant to the , modeled after the ICAC in Hong Kong. It is led by a Chief Commissioner appointed for a fixed five-year term; and two part-time Commissioners. Then-NSW Premier Mike Baird suggested in November 2016 his desire to move from a sole Commissioner to a three-commissioner system, however this was strongly criticised by two former ICAC commissioners as weakening and politicising the organisation, leading to the resignation of then-Commissioner Megan Latham. The Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (ICAC) is the head of the Office of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption, an agency of the Northern Territory Government with responsibility for investigating corruption in the Territory public sector. Since July 2021, this position has been led by Michael Riches. The Commissioner operates under the ''Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Act 2017'' (NT). The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is a role associated with the South Australian Office of Public Integrity. It was established by the Government of South Australia in 2013. The Commissioner is Ann Vanstone , a former justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia. Bruce Lander was the first person appointed to the role in 2013. The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) is an intercollegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division III. Member institutions are located in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Founded as the Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference (ICAC) in 1987, it reincorporated under its current name in 1998 with the addition of several schools from Ohio. Original members of the HCAC included Anderson, Bluffton, Franklin, Hanover, Manchester, Mount St. Joseph, Wabash, and Wilmington. The Intermountain Collegiate Athletic Conference (ICAC) is a defunct U.S. junior college athletic conference for schools in the states of Colorado, Idaho, and Utah that existed from 1936 to 1984. The league was part of the National Junior College Athletic Association. History Founded in 1936, ICAC initially consisted of six schools. In 1939, the league saw its largest membership when Carbon Junior College (later College of Eastern Utah) and Snow College joined. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC Task Force) is a task force started by the United States Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) in 1998.
