''Ivy'' is the debut studio album by German singer Ivy Quainoo. Released by Warner Music on 2 March 2012 in German-speaking Europe following her win of the first series of ''The Voice of Germany'', it features production by Marek Pompetzki, Paul NZA, Cecil Remmler, Ivo Moring, Thorsten Brötzmann, and Hoss Power. It charted in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, reaching the top 10 of both the German and the Swiss Albums Charts. ''Ivy'' spawned the singles "Do You Like What You See", "You Got Me" and "Who You Are". Singles "Do You Like What You See" was the first single released from the album. Ivy Quainoo
Ivy Quainoo (born 25 August 1992) is a German singer. In February 2012, she won the first series of ''The Voice of Germany''. In December 2017, it was announced that she would be one of six competing entrants in Unser Lied für Lissabon, the German national final for Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Early life Ivy Quainoo was born in Berlin-Neukölln to Ghanaian parents. She attended the Schiller High School in Charlottenburg. While still in school and also after her Abitur in 2011, she attended a dramatic arts school in Kreuzberg. In the summer of 2011, Ivy was featured as a background singer in writer/singer Jakob Royal's self-titled debut album. "Shake It Out" is a song by English indie rock band Florence and the Machine, released as the first official single from their second studio album, '' Ceremonials'' (2011). It was written by Florence Welch and Paul Epworth, while production was handled by Epworth. The song was digitally released in Australia on 14 September 2011, and it was available in the United States on 19 October. It had its radio debut on XFM on 14 September 2011 in the United Kingdom. Welch revealed that the song was written within an hour and according to her it talked about shaking the regrets and the things that were haunting her. Elisa Sophia Schmidt (born 14 February 1990), known by the stage names Femme Schmidt and SCHMIDT, is a German singer. Life Schmidt grew up in Koblenz. When 16, she visited Hurtwood House near Dorking, Surrey, England, where she began writing songs in English. Harold Lane David (May 25, 1921 – September 1, 2012) was an American lyricist. He grew up in New York City. He was best known for his collaborations with composer Burt Bacharach and his association with Dionne Warwick. Early life David was born in New York City, a son of Austrian Jewish immigrants Lina (née Goldberg) and Gedalier David, who owned a delicatessen in New York. He is the younger brother of American lyricist and songwriter Mack David. "I Say a Little Prayer" is a song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Dionne Warwick, originally peaking at number four on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 pop singles chart in December 1967. On the R&B Singles chart it peaked at number eight. Dionne Warwick original Intended by lyricist Hal David to convey a woman's concern for her man who's serving in the Vietnam War, "I Say a Little Prayer" was recorded by Dionne Warwick in a 9 April 1966 session.
