The Ivory Coast men's national basketball team is the men's basketball side that represents Ivory Coast in international competition. The team competes regularly in the African Championship and is administered by the Fédération Ivoirienne de Basket-Ball. With two AfroBasket titles and six overall finals appearances, the country is traditionally home to one of the continent's finest basketball national teams. The Elephants have played at the FIBA Basketball World Cup four times and also played in the 2023 edition. Natxo Lezkano
Natxo Lezkano Moya (born 17 October 1972) is a Spanish professional basketball coach, who most recently managed Estudiantes of the Spanish Liga ACB. Since 2011, he has coached Ivory Coast's national basketball team, which he led to two Final Four finishes at the FIBA Africa Championship. He also led professional teams in Venezuela and Spain. Egypt National Basketball Team
The Egypt national basketball team represents Egypt in international basketball competitions. The team is directed by the Egyptian Basketball Federation. Winning the title of the EuroBasket 1949 has been the team's most celebrated achievement. They are the only non-European nation to win the competition. 1963 FIBA World Championship
The 1963 FIBA World Championship was the 4th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship for men's national teams. The competition was hosted by Brazil from 12 to 25 May 1963. The Philippines was originally awarded the right to host the tournament, but FIBA rescinded this after the Filipino immigration officials refused to grant visas to players from communist countries. Brazil, the defending champion and a previous host, re-hosted the championship from 12 to 25 May 1963, and won the first back-to-back title with just six games, having been seeded and entering the well-rested team in the final round only. Central African Republic National Basketball Team
The Central African Republic national basketball team is administered by the Fédération Centrafricaine de Basketball. The team won the African Basketball Championship twice. It became the first Sub-Saharan African team to qualify for the Basketball World Cup. Achievements The Central African Republic has won the African Championship twice. The Nigeria men's national basketball team represents Nigeria in international basketball, and it is governed by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF). 2019 FIBA World Championship
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams, held from 31 August to 15 September 2019.
