Italy Women's National Volleyball Team
The Italy women's national volleyball team is governed by the Federazione Italiana Pallavolo (FIPAV). The team's biggest victories were the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics, 2002 FIVB Women's World Championship and the 2007 and the 2011 World Cup. FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The first tournament took place between May and July 2018, with the final taking place in Nanjing, China. United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in the final. In July 2018, the FIVB announced that China would host the next three editions of the women's Volleyball Nations League Finals, from 2019–2021‌, but on March 13, 2020, the Federation decided to postpone the Nations League until after the 2020 Summer Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the FIVB canceled the 2020 edition and confirmed Italy as the host of the final stage of the 2021 VNL. 2008 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix
The FIVB World Grand Prix 2008 was a women's volleyball tournament in which 12 countries competed from 20 June to 12 July 2008. The finals were held in Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Japan. Cuba, Brazil, Dominican Republic and the United States qualified for the tournament at the 2007 Women's Pan-American Cup in Colima, Mexico. Germany, Turkey, Italy, and Poland qualified through the European Qualifying Tournament in Ankara, Turkey. China, Japan, Thailand, and Kazakhstan qualified as the best four Asian teams. 2007 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix
The FIVB World Grand Prix 2007 was the fifteenth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, which is the female equivalent of the Men's Volleyball World League. The 2007 World Grand Prix lasted four weeks with a total number of 65 matches. During the first, second, and third week, each team played nine matches in total. Preliminary rounds were staged in Japan (3x), Italy, Poland, Macau, Hong Kong, Russia, and Chinese Taipei. The final round was played in Ningbo, PR China, at Beilun Gymnasium, over five days and the best six teams from the preliminary rounds. 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 25th edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 32 teams between 7 July and 6 August. The Group 1 Final Round was held in Nanjing, China. Defending champions Brazil won their record twelfth title in the tournament after a 3–2 win over Italy. Serbia captured their third bronze medal in the competition by defeating China in a rematch of the previous year's Olympic final. 2024 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The 2024 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League was the sixth edition of the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League, an annual women's international volleyball tournament. The competition was held from 14 May to 23 June 2024 and the final round took place at Indoor Stadium Huamark, Bangkok, Thailand. Following the results of the 2023 Nations League and the 2023 Challenger Cup, Croatia were replaced by debutants France in this edition.
