Itaboraí Basin
Itaboraí (, ) is a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, that belongs to the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area. It was founded in 1672. In 2020, it had a population of 242,543. Location Culturally, its closest municipalities are São Gonçalo and Niterói, connected to them by the Niterói-Manilha highway. It is officially planned since the start of the last President Lula's and Governor Sérgio Cabral's terms to be further connected to them and to Rio de Janeiro's downtown by the Line 3 of the Rio de Janeiro Metro, that will have the first submarine tunnel ever built in Brazil. It is geographically close to Rio de Janeiro's airport and a SuperVia train line, but the poor infrastructure dedicated to the cities of Magé, Guapimirim and Itaboraí creates a significant gap between this area and the Baixada Fluminense, so that it is much easier for one use them with the public transit/highway routes from Mangaratiba, many kilometers more away, and most people who want to ... Cabuçu (Itaboraí)
Cabuçu is a neighbourhood in the city of Itaboraí, Rio de Janeiro Brazil. It is part of the 6th district along with Curuzu and São José. It is a typical rural district, with small and medium farms. It borders the neighborhoods of São José, Badureco and Largo da Idéia, the latter being part of the municipality of São Gonçalo. Most of its population is religious (especially evangelicals), so the neighborhood has many churches, a total of 25 churches, the most important being the chapel of Nossa Senhora Aparecida located next to the DPO (Detachment Policing Ostensibly Cabuçu) that makes the neighborhood processions every year on October 12 (Day of Our Lady Aparecida). Another important church in the neighborhood is the Evangelical Congregational Church located in an area farther from the shopping district. The Itaboraian ( pt, Itaboraiense) age is a period within the Early Eocene geologic time (53.0–50.0 Mya (unit), Ma) epoch of the Paleogene, used more specifically with South American land mammal ages (SALMA). Central Rio De Janeiro Atlantic Forest Mosaic
The Central Rio de Janeiro Atlantic Forest Mosaic ( pt, Mosaico da Mata Atlântica Central Fluminense is a protected area mosaic in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The mosaic is inland, to the east of the city of Rio de Janeiro. History A project to create three new protected area mosaics in the Serra do Mar Ecological Corridor began in December 2005, coordinated by the National Council of the Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve. These were the Bocaina Mosaic, Central Rio de Janeiro Atlantic Forest Mosaic and Mantiqueira Mosaic. Funding was provided by Conservation International, the Fund for the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Japan, the MacArthur Foundation and the World Bank. Guanabara Ecological Station
The Guanabara Ecological Station ( pt, Estação Ecológica da Guanabara) is an ecological station in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It protects an area of mangroves in Guanabara Bay, not far from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Location The Guanabara Ecological Station (ESEC) is divided between the municipalities of Guapimirim (42.49%), Itaboraí (35.61%) and São Gonçalo (3.57%) in Rio de Janeiro.
