It Takes A Thief (1979 TV Series)
''It Takes a Thief'' is a Hong Kong television series adapted from Gu Long's ''Chu Liuxiang Series''. The series was first broadcast on Rediffusion Television, RTV (now Asia Television, ATV) in Hong Kong in September 1979. Changes in title and characters' names The series' original Chinese title was 盜帥留香 (''Dou Seoi Lau Heung''; literally "Chu Liuxiang, Bandit Chief Liuxiang"). It was released around the same time as ''Chor Lau-heung (1979 TV series), Chor Lau-heung'', a similar television series produced by Television Broadcasts Limited, TVB. Rediffusion Television, RTV and TVB became involved in copyright lawsuits against each other because of similarities between ''It Takes a Thief'' and ''Chor Lau-heung''. TVB won the lawsuits and eventually RTV had to change the Chinese title of ''It Takes a Thief'' from 盜帥留香 to 俠盜風流, and the names of characters in the television series. Nora Miao
Nora Miao () (born Chan Wing-man (); 8 February 1952) is a Hong Kong film actress. She is best known for appearing in many kung fu films in the 1970s, opposite Hong Kong action movie stars such as Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Background Chan Wing-man was born in British Hong Kong. She attended St. Teresa's School Kowloon. She was contracted to Golden Harvest, and spent her time making films in Hong Kong and in Taiwan, where she starred in several romance movies. Miao worked well with Ko Chun-hsiung and was paired with him in several movies. She played opposite both Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Law Lok-lam (, born 20 October 1948) is a veteran Hong Kong character actor currently under Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) management. A versatile actor who has acted in many Hong Kong television dramas since the 1970s. He has been in so many dramas that he became internationally known as "the actor that died 5 times in one day or 24 hours" when five dramas he starred in were broadcast on the same day showing him in dying scenes. Chu Liuxiang is the fictional protagonist of the ''wuxia'' novel series ''Chu Liuxiang Series'' by Taiwanese writer Gu Long. His given name "Liuxiang" literally means "lingering fragrance".
