It's Tricky (foaled February 26, 2008 in Kentucky - 2017) was an American Thoroughbred racemare. She was sired by Mineshaft, who also sired the Kentucky Derby contender, Dialed In. She was out of the mare Catboat. Owned by Godolphin Racing LLC and trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, in 2011 she won the Busher Stakes, the Acorn Stakes and the Coaching Club American Oaks. 2010 season On November 28, 2010, It's Tricky won her first race a 6 furlong maiden race. She was ridden by Alan Garcia. 2011 season On January 26, 2011, It's Tricky won the 1 mile 70 yards long allowance race with Eddie Castro. On February 20, 2011, It's Tricky won the Busher Stakes going 1 mile 70 yards with Eddie Castro. She won by 8 lengths as a favourite. She was perfect in three starts. Mineshaft (foaled May 17, 1999, in Kentucky) is a multi-millionaire American thoroughbred racehorse and successful stallion. He was sired by 1992 U.S. Horse of the Year and U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee A.P. Indy, who in turn was a son of 1977 U.S. Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew. His dam, Prospectors Delite, is by leading North American sire Mr. Prospector. Bred and owned by the partnership of William S. Farish III, W. Temple Webber, Jr. and James Elkins, Mineshaft is a product of Lane's End Farm. He finished racing with a record of 10-3-1 in 18 starts and career earnings of $2,283,402. Alan Garcia (jockey)
Alan Garcia (born October 2, 1985) is a Peruvian thoroughbred horse racing jockey. He was Peru's leading apprentice jockey in 2003 and in that same year he began racing in the United States at the Meadowlands Racetrack where he was also the leading apprentice. His father and grandfather were both jockeys in Peru. He is currently married and lives in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, with his wife and 3 sons. Garcia got his big break in 2007 when he won the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf. This was his first ever Breeders' Cup ride. The win, on Lahudood, meant that he was the third jockey ever to win his first Breeders' Cup race in his first attempt. Garcia is currently one of the top jockeys on the Canadian Thoroughbred scene at Canada's most prestigious track Woodbine. Aqueduct Racetrack is a Thoroughbred horse racing facility and casino in the South Ozone Park, Queens, South Ozone Park and Jamaica, Queens, Jamaica neighborhoods of Queens, New York City, United States. The Kentucky Oaks is a Graded stakes race, Grade I stakes race for three-year-old Thoroughbred Filly, fillies staged annually in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. Mother Goose Stakes
The Mother Goose Stakes is an American thoroughbred horse race for three-year-old fillies held at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. Raced on dirt in late June or early July, the race currently offers a purse of $300,000. Inaugurated in 1957 at a mile and a sixteenth, it was lengthened to a mile and an eighth in 1959. Originally part of the Triple Tiara of Thoroughbred Racing, the Mother Goose was removed from the series in 2010 and its distance reverted to a mile and a sixteenth. The Mother Goose was run as a Grade II event beginning in 2017. It had been a Grade I event since 1974 (when grading was first introduced). The race was named for H.P. Whitney's filly Mother Goose, one of only thirteen fillies to have ever won the male dominated Belmont Futurity Stakes. Royal Delta
Royal Delta (February 2, 2008 – February 10, 2017) was a Champion American Thoroughbred Horse racing, racehorse. The daughter of Empire Maker was best known for winning back-to-back editions of the Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic (later renamed the Breeders' Cup Distaff) and three consecutive Eclipse Awards (as American Champion Three-Year-Old Filly of 2011 and American Champion Older Female Horse of both 2012 and 2013). She won the Grade I horserace, Grade I Alabama Stakes, Alabama, Beldame Stakes, Beldame, Delaware Handicap, Delaware and Personal Ensign Stakes in addition to her Breeders' Cup triumphs. The George E. Mitchell Black-Eyed Susan Stakes is a Grade II American Thoroughbred horse race for three-year-old fillies run over a distance of miles on the dirt annually at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. The event currently offers a purse of $250,000 History The event was inaugurated in 1919 as the Pimlico Oaks and was renamed in 1952 to its present name to complement the Preakness Stakes and to acknowledge the Maryland State flower. Turbulent Descent (foaled March 25, 2008 in Ocala, Florida) is a retired American Thoroughbred racehorse. She established herself as a premier sprinter with Grade I wins at ages 2, 3, and 4. Turbulent Descent was the winner of more than $1.2 million in graded stakes race earnings over a three year racing career and holds the stakes record in the Santa Anita Oaks. In retirement, she has been successful as a broodmare producing a Group III winning colt, Spanish Steps, by Galileo.
