It's Time (Australian Campaign)
It's Time was a successful political campaign run by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) under Gough Whitlam at the 1972 federal election in Australia. Campaigning on the perceived need for change after 23 years of conservative (Liberal- Country Party coalition) government, Labor put forward a raft of major policy proposals, accompanied by a television advertising campaign of prominent celebrities singing a jingle entitled ''It's Time''. It was ultimately successful, as Labor picked up eight seats and won a majority. This was the first time Labor had been in government since it lost the 1949 federal election to the Liberal Party. Origins In the 1969 federal election, the endorsed ALP candidate for the blue-ribbon Liberal seat of Ryan, John Conn, then a lecturer at the University of Queensland, had employed a highly successful door-to-door campaign. Linda Eder (; born February 3, 1961) is an American singer and actress. She made her Broadway debut in the musical ''Jekyll & Hyde'', originating the role of Lucy Harris, for which she was nominated for the Drama Desk Award. The eighth and final season of '' Weeds'' premiered on July 1, 2012, on the television cable network Showtime, and featured 13 episodes, bringing the series total to 102. It marks the return of the show's theme song, "Little Boxes". "It's Time" is the debut single by American rock band Imagine Dragons, taken from the band's 2011 EP, '' It's Time'', their major label debut EP, ''Continued Silence'', as well as their major debut studio album, ''Night Visions'' (2012).
