It's For You (Niamh Kavanagh Song)
Ireland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "It's for You" written by Niall Mooney, Mårten Eriksson, Jonas Gladnikoff and Lina Eriksson. The song was performed by Niamh Kavanagh, who had previously represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993 where she won the contest with the song "In Your Eyes". The Irish broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) organised the national final ''Eurosong 2010'' in order to select the Irish entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. Five songs faced the votes of six regional juries and a public televote, ultimately resulting in the selection of "It's for You" performed by Niamh Kavanagh as the Irish Eurovision entry. Niamh Kavanagh
Niamh Kavanagh ( ; born 13 February 1968) is an Irish singer who sang the winning entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993. The 1993 Eurovision Song Contest was held in Millstreet, County Cork, Republic of Ireland. She sang "In Your Eyes" to clinch a second consecutive win for Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest. The singer represented Ireland again in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo, with the song "It's for You". She performed at the semi-final on 27 May 2010, finishing 9th in a field of 17 contestants, thus qualifying for the Grand Final on 29 May 2010. In the final, she finished 23rd in a field of 25 contestants, having received 25 points. Seán Patrick Michael Sherrard (born 13 May 1954), better known by his stage name Johnny Logan, is an Irish singer and composer. He is known as being the only performer to have won the Eurovision Song Contest twice, in Eurovision Song Contest 1980, 1980 and Eurovision Song Contest 1987, 1987. He also composed the winning song in Eurovision Song Contest 1992, 1992. Logan first won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980, with the song "What's Another Year" written by Shay Healy. Julian Benson (born 26 February 1971) is a talent agent, choreographer and is also known for his role as a judge on the RTÉ One series, ''Dancing with the Stars.'' Black Daisy was an Irish-Lithuanian band that, along with Sinéad Mulvey represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song Et Cetera. Biography The band originated from Dublin, and was formed by Steff Caffrey (lead guitar and backing vocals), Nicole Billings (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Asta Millerienė (drums), and Lesley-Ann Halvey (lead vocals and bass guitar).
