''It's About a Little Bird'' is a 2013 in literature, 2013 children's picture book written and illustrated by American actress-photographer Jessica Lange. The fairy tale includes elements of fantasy literature, fantasy, adventure novels, and mystery fiction. The tale revolves around friendship, love and family determination, imagination and exploration. The author has stated that it is based on incidents in her own life, and is illustrated with photographs that she took of her granddaughters. The work was originally created for her grandchildren. It tells of sisters Ilse and Adah who find a gilded birdcage in their grandmother's barn. The black-and-white photographs used were Hand-colouring of photographs, color hand tinted by Lange. Naperville ( ) is a city in DuPage and Will counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. It is in the Chicago metro area, west of the city. Naperville was founded in 1831 by Joseph Naper. Jessica Lange's first venture into the world of photography came with winning a scholarship to study fine arts at the University of Minnesota in 1967. During her first semester however, she left school in favor of traveling to Paris with then soon-to-be husband Francisco Grande. She would not pick up photographing again until the early 1990s when she began to make black-and-white pictures, all of places she visited on her travels since then.
