The Israeli war cabinet was formed on 11 October 2023, five days after the beginning of the 2023 Israel–Hamas war, Israel–Hamas war. 2023 Israel–Hamas War
} The ongoing armed conflict between Hamas-led Palestinian militant groups and Israel military forces began on 7 October 2023, 50 years after the start of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Palestinian Rocket Attacks On Israel
Since 2001, Palestinian militants have launched thousands of rocket and mortar attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip as part of the continuing Arab–Israeli conflict.
