Israeli Football Hall Of Fame
The Israeli Football Hall of Fame is Hall of Fame for the best association football players in the history of the Israeli football, initiated by sports channel in cooperation with the Israeli Football Players Association in Israel, Financed by the Israeli Sports Betting Council. A special panel of media covering the football industry in Israel formed in March and April 2009 and selected fifty players to be added to the Hall of Fame, from an initial list of a hundred candidates. Names of the players entered the Hall of Fame a month later. Danny Inbar was the program presenter. A hall, wall, or walk of fame is a list of individuals, achievements, or other entities, usually chosen by a group of electors, to mark their excellence or Wiktionary:fame, fame in their field. Yossi Abukasis
Yosef "Yossi" Abukasis ( he, יֹוסֶף "יֹוסִי" אָבּוּקָסִיס; born September 10, 1970) is an Israeli former football midfielder and current coach of Beitar Jerusalem. Career Abukasis played in the youth team of Hapoel Tel Aviv, and in 1987/1988 season arrived to the first team. In that year Hapoel won the championship and Abukasis signed in the team for the next 5 years. In 1994/1995 season Abukasis played in Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv. A season after he played in Tzafririm Holon and in the next season he moved to Beitar Jerusalem FC. Abukasis played in Beitar from 1995/1996 until 2000/2001, and in his time Beitar won two championships and the Toto Cup. Emmanuel Scheffer
Emmanuel Scheffer ( he, עמנואל שפר; 1 February 1924 – 28 December 2012) was an Israeli football player and coach who was born in Germany. He was twice the manager of the Israel national football team (1968–70, 1978–79), led the team at the 1968 Summer Olympics, and led the team to their only appearance in the World Cup, in 1970. 1990 FIFA World Cup Qualification
The qualification competition for the 1990 FIFA World Cup was a series of tournaments organised by the six FIFA confederations. Each confederation — the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Confederation of African Football (CAF), CONCACAF (North America), CONMEBOL (South America), Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), and UEFA (Europe) — was allocated a certain number of the 24 places at the tournament. Uri Malmilian ( he, אורי מלמיליאן; born April 24, 1957) is an Israeli former football player and current manager. Early life and playing career Born in the neighbourhood of Mamilla in West Jerusalem, Malmilian had a memorable playing career in the Liga Leumit at Beitar Jerusalem. Eliyahu "Eli" Ohana ( he, אלי אוחנה; born ) is an Israeli former football player and the former chairman of Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem. He played as forward or midfielder for Beitar Jerusalem, KV Mechelen, S.C. Braga, and the Israel national football team, and was considered one of Israel's finest players, often named "the King". Haim Revivo
Haim Michael Revivo ( he, חיים מיכאל רביבו; born 22 February 1972) is a retired Israeli football player who played as a midfielder, and a businessman. Sports career Revivo is Jewish and was born to a traditional Mizrahi Jewish family in Ashdod, Israel. One of his grandmothers is from Morocco. He played football at Hapoel Ashdod until the age of 16 when he transferred to the youth club of Gadna Tel Aviv Yehuda. Revivo liked that the club had no senior team and he would be a free agent once he reached 18. When he turned 19, Giora Spiegel brought him to Bnei Yehuda after both Hapoel Kfar Saba and Maccabi Petah Tikva turned him down.
