The Israel women's national basketball team represents Israel in international women's basketball matches and is controlled by the Israel Basketball Association. Israel have hosted the FIBA Women's EuroBasket in 1991, and will host it again in 2023 along with Slovenia, they have automatically qualified as co-host. The 2013 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2013, was the 34th regional championship held by FIBA Europe. The competition was held in France from 15–30 June 2013. This was the fourth time that the EuroBasket Women has been hosted by France. Spain defeated France 70–69 in the final to win the title. The 1950 European Championship for Women was the 2nd regional championship held by FIBA Europe for women. The competition was held in Budapest, Hungary and took place May 14–20, 1950. The Soviet Union won the gold medal, with Hungary and Czechoslovakia winning silver and bronze, respectively. The 2023 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2023, was the 39th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. The 2021 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2021, was the 38th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by France and Spain between 17 and 27 June 2021. It was the third time to be hosted by multiple countries. The tournament also served as part of European qualification for the 2022 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, with the top six nations advancing to the qualifying tournaments.
