Isam Al-Attar
Issam al-Attar (; 1927 – 3 May 2024) was a Syrian dissident politician and Islamic preacher who was the former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria. He was a symbol of dissent and resistance against the rule of Hafez al-Assad during the 1970s, and later went into exile in Aachen, Germany where he resided for the remainder of his life. Biography Al-Attar was born in 1927 in Damascus, Syria. His father was the jurist Mohammed Reda al-Attar. As an eleven-year-old, he became a member of the ''Youth of Mohammed'', which was founded by Mustafa al-Siba'i, who later became the first head of the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria. Following his criticism of Adib Shishakli in 1951, he was forced to settle in Egypt, where he met Sayyid Qutb, Mohamed Bachir El Ibrahimi, Mahmoud Mohamed Shaker and Abd al-Wahhāb Azzām. Isam Bachiri (Arabic: عصام بشيري - born 1 August 1977) is a Danish rapper, singer and songwriter. Formerly a member of the hip hop group Outlandish, he has worked as a solo artist in recent years. Early life Isam Bachiri is a Muslim of Riffian descent born in 1977 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Bachiri came into contact with music in his youth through the developing hip hop scene and subculture in America. Isam Dart (1858–October 3, 1900), also known as Isom, was a cattle driver, rancher, and horse and cattle rustler during the late 19th century in the Wild West. He settled in Browns Park in northwestern Colorado, where he was considered by his neighbors to be a "superlative rider and roper, a good neighbor, and an expert and industrious cattle thief." He and his partner Mat Rash were gunned down in separate events and were believed to have been assassinated by Tom Horn, a hired gunman. In 1927, a biographical fiction book about a Black cowboy was published that erroneously stated that Dart was born in Arkansas nine years before his birth.
