Isaiah Miller
Isaiah Miller Jr. (born November 9, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the UNC Greensboro Spartans. Early life and high school career Miller was born in Newark, New Jersey but grew up in Covington, Georgia. He attended Eastside High School in Covington before transferring to Newton High School before his senior year. As a senior, Miller averaged 20 points, six rebounds and 3.1 steals per game in leading the team to a 28–2 record and Region 8-AAAAAA championship. He was named first team All-Region and All-County and honorable mention All-State. He committed to UNC Greensboro in May 2017. College career Miller served as a key reserve at point guard as a true freshman, playing in all 35 of the Spartans' games and was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman team after averaging 8.3 points and 1.4 steals per game, which was 8th-best in the conference. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. 2019–20 UNC Greensboro Spartans Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 UNC Greensboro men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Greensboro during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Spartans, led by ninth-year head coach Wes Miller, played most of their home games at Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a handful of games at Fleming Gymnasium, on the UNCG campus. They are members of the Southern Conference (SoCon). They finished the season 23–9, 13–5 in SoCon play to finish in third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of SoCon tournament to Chattanooga. 2019–20 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 5, 2019. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020. The 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was scheduled to end in Atlanta on April 6, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. All other postseason tournaments were canceled as well. Practices officially began in late September. On March 12, 2020, the NCAA announced that all remaining winter and spring championships for both men's and women's sports were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first cancellation in the history of the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The NCAA did not name an official national champion after the tournament was canceled.
