Ireland A Rugby Union Team
The Ireland Wolfhounds (formerly Ireland A and Ireland B) are the second national rugby union team of Ireland, behind the Ireland national team. They previously competed in the Churchill Cup together with the England Saxons, the national teams of Canada and the United States, as well as a selection of other nations' 1st, 2nd and 3rd representative sides (including Scotland A and the New Zealand Maori). They also played against other Six Nations countries' A sides during the Six Nations. They have intermittently played touring sides, namely South Africa in 2000, the All Blacks in 2001 and Australia in 2006. On the 21 June 2009, Ireland A won their first Churchill Cup, beating the England Saxons 49–22 in the final. They also won the Churchill Plate three times in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Dave Kilcoyne
David Kilcoyne (born 14 December 1988) is an Irish rugby union player for Munster in the United Rugby Championship and European Rugby Champions Cup. He plays as a prop and represents UL Bohemians in the All-Ireland League. Early life Born in Limerick, Kilcoyne played his schools rugby with Ardscoil Rís, where he won the Munster Schools Junior Cup. The former Munster and Ireland prop Marcus Horan is a cousin of Kilcoyne's. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Jeremy Loughman (born 22 July 1995) is an Irish rugby union player for United Rugby Championship and European Rugby Champions Cup side Munster. Internationally, Loughman made his senior debut for Ireland in 2022. He plays as a prop. Early life Loughman was born in Reno, Nevada and lived there until his was four-years-old, when his family moved to Sevenoaks, Kent due to his fathers work in the oil and gas industry. Diarmuid Barron (born 6 August 1998) is an Irish rugby union player for Munster in the United Rugby Championship and European Rugby Champions Cup. Dave Heffernan (born 31 January 1991) is a rugby union player from Republic of Ireland, Ireland. He currently plays for Irish provincial side Connacht Rugby, Connacht in the Pro14. Heffernan started his career playing as a Flanker (rugby union), flanker, before moving to the position of Hooker (rugby union), hooker. He plays his club rugby for Buccaneers RFC, Buccaneers.
