Ireland's Got Talent (series 1)
The first series of the Irish talent competition series ''Ireland's Got Talent'' began broadcasting in Ireland during 2018, from 3 February to 24 March 2018 on TV3 and was hosted by Lucy Kennedy. The judges for the first series were Denise van Outen, Jason Byrne, Michelle Visage and Louis Walsh. The inaugural series was won by the dance troupe RDC. According to the ''Irish Times'', the debut episode attracted 521,800 viewers. Series overview The judges auditions were taped in November 2017 at the TLT Concert Hall & Theatre, Drogheda. The live shows were held at The Helix, Dublin which started on 19 March 2018, continuing at 21 March until the 24th for the final. Jason Byrne (comedian)
Jason Byrne (born 25 February 1972) is an Irish stand-up comedian. In August 2008, he made his twelfth Edinburgh Festival Fringe appearance. Byrne previously presented a mid-morning radio show on Phantom FM as well as a comedy chat show ''The Jason Byrne Show'' featuring P. J. Gallagher, and a comedy panel show called ''The Byrne Ultimatum'' on RTÉ Two. He created and starred in a radio show also called ''The Jason Byrne Show'' from 2010 to 2012 on BBC Radio 2. The second series was awarded a Gold Sony Radio Award for Best Comedy. In 2018, he published ''The Accidental Adventures of Onion O'Brien'', a series of books about a young boy growing up in Ireland who has constant bad luck. The book is based on Byrne's childhood. Michelle Visage
Michelle Lynn Case (nee Shupack), better known as Michelle Visage (born September 20, 1968), is an American singer, television host, actress, radio DJ and producer. She first gained recognition as a member of the musical group Seduction which charted five singles on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. She later served as lead vocalist of another group The S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. which reached the top of the dance charts with the single "It's Gonna Be a Lovely Day" in 1993. In 2011, she joined the American reality competition series ''RuPaul's Drag Race'', and has served as a permanent judge since season three. Louis Walsh
Michael Louis Vincent Walsh (born 5 August 1952) is an Irish music manager and television personality. He has managed Johnny Logan, Boyzone, Jedward and Westlife, four of Ireland's most successful pop acts in the 1990s and 2000s. Lucy Kennedy ( ga, Lusaí Ní Chinnéide; born 21 April 1976) is an Irish television and radio presenter. Kennedy first came to public attention from co-hosting ''The Podge and Rodge Show'' on RTÉ Two. Ireland's Got Talent
''Ireland's Got Talent'' is the Irish version of the international ''Got Talent'' franchise. The series launched on 3 February 2018 on Virgin Media One (formerly known as "TV3") and was hosted by Lucy Kennedy, accompanied by a sister show entitled ''Ireland's Got Mór Talent'' presented by Glenda Gilson and James Kavanagh. Contestants of any age, who possess some sort of talent, can audition for the show, with their performance judged by a panel of judges; the lineup consisted of Denise van Outen, Jason Byrne, Michelle Visage and Louis Walsh. Those that make it through the auditions compete against other acts in a series of live semi-finals, with the winning two acts of each semi-final proceeding into the show's live final. Drogheda
Drogheda ( , ; , meaning "bridge at the ford") is an industrial and port town in County Louth on the east coast of Ireland, north of Dublin.
