Ionică
John (; ') is a common male given name in the English language of Hebrew origin. The name is the English form of ''Iohannes'' and ''Ioannes'', which are the Latin forms of the Greek name Ioannis (Ιωάννης), originally borne by Hellenized Jews transliterating the Hebrew name ''Yochanan'' (), the contracted form of the longer name (), meaning "Yahweh is Gracious" or "Yahweh is Merciful". There are numerous forms of the name in different languages; these were formerly often simply translated as "John" in English, but are increasingly left in their native forms (see sidebar). It is among the most commonly given names in Anglophone, Arabic, European, Latin American, Persian and Turkish countries. Traditionally in the Anglosphere, it was the most common, although it has not been since the latter half of the 20th century. John owes its unique popularity to two highly revered saints, John the Baptist (forerunner of Jesus Christ) and the apostle John (traditionally considered the ...

Ionică Minune
Gheorghe Ene (born February 13, 1959), known as Ionică Minune, is a Romani-Romanian accordionist. Life and career Ionică Minune was born in Costeşti, Buzău County, Romania into a family of '' lăutari''. The members of his family played different instruments and they used to be booked together as one ''taraf'' (band) at various events in the village. At the age of four, Ionică took his older brother accordion and played a waltz by ear without any kind of training. Since then he continued to play and practice, mostly for his own pleasure, as he didn't want to become a professional musician. As a teenager, Ionică dreamed to become a policeman, but, when his father became ill, he started to play professionally in order to help his family. He quickly became an acclaimed accordionist and before he turned twenty he played only with several major figures of the ''lăutareasca'' music. Since 1979, he also started to tour abroad in countries such as: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Ja ...

Ionică Tăutu
Ionică Tăutu (usual rendition of Ion Tăutu; 1798–1828) was a Moldavian low-ranking boyar, Enlightenment-inspired pamphleteer, and craftsman ("an engineer by trade", according to Alecu Russo).Russo, VI Constitutional project The last in a succession of boyars who advanced reforms during the Phanariote rule, Tăutu stood for the interests of a coalition of low-ranking nobility which aimed to protect itself against competition from modern developments, while adopting various liberal and Romanian nationalist principles in order to counter the growing political power of Moldavian princes.Djuvara, p.318 The entire group was referred to as ''cărvunari'', an antiquated Romanian rendition of the Italian ''carbonari'' (although, unlike the latter, they were not organized as a secret society); the reference was to remain a denominator for Radicalism (historical), radical groups in both Danubian Principalities (Moldavia and Wallachia) until the 1848 Wallachian revolution. Ionica (company)
Ionica was a domestic telecoms provider based in Cambridge, UK, operating between 1995 and 1998. Founded in 1991, Ionica offered an alternative technology to British Telecom. The Ionica system used a microwave transmitter in order to provide the local loop, thus avoiding reliance on British Telecom for this final link to the consumer. The technology, known as Wireless local loop ( WLL), was developed in partnership with Nortel. However, rising costs and limiting technical factors caused the company to cease trading in 1998. Floatation The company floated in July 1997 with shares initially trading at 390p. At its peak Ionica was valued at over one billion pounds, the first Silicon Fen company to reach that value. Goals and technical limitations The company’s initial aim was to take twenty percent of the domestic market with offers such as multiple ringing tones and a free second line but the technology used proved to be limited, with heavy rain and local radio transmissio ...

Panyassis
Panyassis of Halicarnassus, sometimes known as Panyasis ( grc, Πανύασις), was a 5th-century BC Greek epic poet from Halicarnassus in the Persian Empire (modern-day Bodrum, Turkey). Life Panyassis was the son of Polyarchus ( grc, Πολύαρχος) from Halicarnassus, but the historian Duris of Samos claimed that Panyasis was the son of Diocles ( grc, Διοκλῆς) and from Samos. In addition, the historian Herodotus was either his nephew or his cousin. There was also another person of the same name, possibly the grandson of the poet, who wrote a work in two books on dreams. In 454 BC, Panyassis was executed for political activities by the tyrant of Halicarnassus and grandson of Artemisia, Lygdamis ΙΙ (), after an unsuccessful uprising against him. Panyasis was ranked by the Alexandrian School with the great epic poets. The Suda encyclopedia mentions Panyassis. Works Panyassis enjoyed relatively little critical appreciation during his lifetime, but was posth ...
