The Iona Gaels Men's Soccer Team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, United States. The team is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The team plays its home games at Mazzella Field in New Rochelle. Mazzella Field
Mazzella Field is a 2,400 seat soccer-specific stadium on the campus of Iona College (New York), Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. It is home to the Iona Gaels Iona Gaels men's soccer, soccer, lacrosse, and rugby union teams, as well as the women's New York Magic of United Women's Soccer. First opened in 1989, it was originally used as a multi-purpose stadium that also hosted the school's college football team until the program was disbanded in 2008. Iona Gaels
The Iona Gaels are the athletics teams of Iona University, in New Rochelle, New York. They compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and participate in 21 NCAA Division I programs. Varsity athletic programs Men's basketball Iona University has been competing in men's basketball since the inception of the school in 1940. Iona is an original member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, which began play in men's basketball with the 1981–82 season. The Gaels have compiled the most victories of any MAAC team since the founding of the conference and have won a league record seven MAAC titles. Ignacio "Nacho" Maganto Pérez (born 2 January 1992) is a Spanish footballer who plays for México FC. Career Youth, college and amateur Maganto spent five seasons in the Getafe youth system. Jordan Scarlett (born 8 July 1995) is a Jamaican professional footballer who currently plays in the USL Championship for Hartford Athletic. Early life Scarlett was born in Jamaica, but grew up in The Bronx in New York City. Killian Colombie (born 2 November 1995) is a French professional footballer who plays as a forward for Atlètic Club d'Escaldes in Andorra. Career Youth and college Colombie enrolled at Iona College in 2015 and joined the Iona Gaels men's soccer team. Once the Iona season began, Colombie started in all 18 games he appeared in. Across four seasons with Iona, Colombie played in 72 games and tallied 15 goals and six assists as a forward.
