Ion Jardan
Ion Jardan (born 10 January 1990) is a Moldovan footballer who plays as a right-back for Petrocub Hîncești. He also plays for the Moldova national football team. Club career In 2013 Jardan signed a contract with Ukrainian Premier League side FC Arsenal Kyiv, but did not play any match for the main squad. After the bankruptcy of this club, in January 2014 he signed a deal with Romanian Liga I team FC Botoșani. International career On 14 June 2013 he made his debut for the Moldova national football team in a friendly match against Kyrgyzstan. The 2019–20 Moldovan Cup ( ro, Cupa Moldovei) was the 29th season of the annual Moldovan football cup competition. The competition started on 20 April 2019 with the preliminary round and concluded with the final on 30 June 2020. The winner qualifies for the first qualifying round of the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League. Format and Schedule The preliminary round and the first two rounds proper are regionalised to reduce teams travel costs. The 2016–17 Moldovan Cup ( ro, Cupa Moldovei) was the 26th season of the Moldovan annual football tournament. Zaria Bălți entered as the defending champions after winning the 2015–16 edition. The competition started on 20 August 2016 with the first preliminary round and concluded with the final at the Zimbru Stadium on 25 May 2017. Sheriff won a record 9th title following a 5–0 win over Zaria in the final. Moldovan National Division
The Moldovan Super Liga is an association football league that is currently the top division of Moldovan football league system. The competition was established in 1992, when the country became independent from the Soviet Union. It was formed in place of former Soviet republican competitions that existed since 1945. Before the Soviet occupation of Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina in 1940, clubs from modern Moldova competed in the Romanian football competitions, particularly Nistru Chișinău. There are currently eight teams in the competition. At the end of the season, the bottom club is relegated to the Moldovan Liga 1 and replaced by the lower league's champion.
