International Society Of Psychiatric Genetics
The International Society of Psychiatric Genetics (ISPG) is a learned society that aims to "promote and facilitate research in the Psychiatric genetics, genetics of psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders and allied traits". To this end, among other things, it organizes an annual "World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics". It also awards each year the "Ming Tsuang Lifetime Achievement Award" for scientists who have made major contributions to the field of psychiatric genetics and the "Theodore Reich Young Investigator Award" for work of exceptional merit by researchers under 40 years of age. Naomi Ruth Wray is an Australian statistical geneticist at the University of Queensland, where she is a Professorial Research Fellow at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience and an Affiliate Professor in the Queensland Brain Institute. She is an attending psychiatrist at the VA Boston Healthcare System and a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Stephen Vincent Faraone (born July 27, 1956) is an American psychologist. He has worked mainly on attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and related disorders and is considered one of the most influential psychologists in the world. Education and career Faraone graduated in 1978 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a BA in Psychology. He then went to the University of Iowa where he obtained his Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy. Pamela Sklar (born July 20, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland - died November 20, 2017 in New York City) was an American psychiatrist and neuroscientist. She was Chair of the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences and professor of psychiatry, neuroscience, and genetic and genomic sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
